I'll be convinced that it has been approved once GameSpot post an official news article about it.
$480 for an HDMI enabled 360 and an 120GB HD? That would be kind of stupid to be selling 3 seperate bundles. If they did make a new bundle with the 120GB HD, they should price the bundle for $400, and drop the current 360 20GB bundle down to $300, and totally throw the core bundle out the window.

I'm going to be a really pissed off Xbox 360 owner if this happens. I adopt the system early only to find that a far superior version is being released about a year later? Is this a joke or something? I'm really sick and tired of Microsoft making hardware and then dropping support for it after a very short time. They dropped support of my beloved original Xbox years ago. They dropped the Xbox like a needy girlfriend. I STILL have God of War 2 to look forward to on my PS2...This is really not cool in my opinion. It makes me feel like Microsoft rushed the 360 to the market. More importantly it makes me feel like I rushed to go get one. As much as I absolutely love Xbox Live, I WILL NOT BUY another Microsoft console if they continue down this road. knicknut17Consoles were improved in the last generation as well, it's just that it happend much farther down the line in the consoles lifespan.
I find it pretty ridiculous that they would do this, unless they sold parts individually for the old xboxs and they lowered the prices of the games I would be one upset microsoft customer.proctorsurfLoL...I'm just upset that it doesn't include a HD DVD drive...
This would be the absolute worst marketing mistake by a company EVER. All that information is trash, I don't care if the Pope comes down and says its true. Microsoft would be a bunch of idiots to RAISE the price when the Wii is their main competition.SilV3RSixTrue dat. For a while I was thinking getting a 360 for Christmas was a mistake, but if this version is gonna be $480 I made the right choice.
thats a photoshopped picture I remember seeing from before the 360 even came out. that doesn't prove crapFlawlessSeasonsno its not, its the game designer's version of the 360 i think the alpha

Microsoft releases a new edition of the Xbox 360 for $400 that has more storage space AND HDMI - people get pissed, phone in swearing, return the systems they bought 29 days ago, et cetera. Microsoft releases a better version of the 360 for $480 and people go "what, Microsoft is stupid! Hah!" - two months later they drop the price of the 20gb unit to $300 and drop the "zephyr" down to $450 - 120gb add-on drives are put on the market for $150, and the core model is quietly discontinued. The next spring they bring the 20gb unit down to $200, the 120gb unit comes down to $350, and they're set...Except for all the backlash they would have this holiday season.... I'm telling you releasing a more expensive model is marketing suicide, even if it is a good deal. If they release for almost $500, then it will basically be the 20 GB PS3 w. Blu Ray versus the 360 with 120 GB of HD space... screw that.

"That's impossible even for a computer" - Luke Skywalker   (Star Wars)
Luke Skywalker doesn't say that. It's an unnamed (to my knowledge) rebel pilot. Then Luke says something like "It's not impossible. back home i used to bullseye womp rats. they're not bigger than2 meters." Don't misquote a jedi!

Congrats, Proctor.
Personally, I think this news regarding the Zephyr is rubbish and I resent the fact that your topic led me to believe that it was true, TC.
