Ok, here's the deal: My wife and I are planning on getting a 360 (again) and are wondering what game (only one for now til next week's paycheck) would you recommend getting?

Now, I know someone is going to suggest Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3 etc. but we've both played them, and plus my wife isn't that amused by Halo (me, I don't mind either way). Over a year ago we had a 360 with Condemned:Criminal Origins, Dead Rising, Prey, TES:Oblivion, so please don't recommend these either cause we're probably going to purchase them again anyways

Yeah I've been looking into Mass Effect but Im going to have to give it some thought but I'll take your recommendation into consideration.

As for COD 4, sorry but there's only so many FPS i can handle and as for the nhl/nba/nfl games, neither one of us are into sports games.....and as for SKATE....my wife doesn't even want Tony Hawks in the house lmao

Look into Rockband! It's a much better than Guitar Hero and you could play with a lot of people.

Because I do not play games for achievements, and I get bored with games kinda quickly. If you click on my gamertag in my sig you see that I have played 39 out of the 45 games that I said that I have, as for the other 6 games I have not played them yet but they are in my collection.

I agree if no sport or shooter games then that doesn't leave much to choose from.

Then I could only recommend then:

Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
Battlestations: Midway
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
Star Trek: Legacy

don't get me wrong mate, i definetly believe you.....I'm just saying, a lot of games you don't have to go out of your way to get achievments, basically just play through the game.......but since you said you get bored of games quickly....that makes more sense!

That must suck. I bet you can't see a damn thing sitting that close. Also, at what point did we start talking about the greatness of our t.v.'s and the number of video games we have. Are we gonna see who can piss farther next? Go to another forum to brag about your crap...

Anyway, if you aren't into FPS, I say go with Assassin's Creed or Mass Effect. Both are great games with a deep story mode. If you like multiplayer, try COD 4, the best FPS there is. Also, my endorsement of the month has been Scene It?. It's a great game with four controllers for $60 if your wife really isn't into gaming. Like 98% of women.

Actually it is pretty f**king great, and I can see everything. At first I thought that it would have been too much by being too big, but it isn't. I will never ever go back to a tv again. Also I wasn't bragging as I was just responding to his post.

I'm assuming that you play (video games) with your spouse. side note: you're so frickin' lucky

If so, then Gears of War is a blast to play with two people.

If money in hand is an issue, then I'm going to recommend two bargain games that haven't been mentioned before now:

1) Tomb Raider: Legend and 2) Star Wars Lego

I had much fun with both of these. They don't get much love here, but I grew up in the original SW era and ... well ... Lara has always been a favorite. SW is simple, but well designed, and a decent co-op game. TR is purely solo, though.

I have been playing Assassins Creed for the last few days and am finding it to be a very good game IMO. I did some research on the background of the Assassins and it made it even better.

If they are still offering the pack in games you may not need to spring for anything else at all. Forza 2 & Marvel Ultimate Alliance were included with th 360 for a while (may still be). I recommend both these games. I paid retail for them when they came out and feel they were worth $60 each, free is a steal.

OK...I went back and checked. I read real hard and made sure I didn't miss anything. At no point did I see anything about anyone asking you the type, make, or size of your T.V. Anywhere...No one was even talking about T.V.'s. You just saw the T.V. in the picture of the guy's stack of video games and you decided to start bragging about your projector. And, yes, that is exactly what you were doing.

I was waiting for someone like you to make me show this off. And it's pointing at a 12ft screen.....I don't use a $12,000 projector for gaming though, that would be stupid. Just for movies because the replacement bulbs are so expensive! I included a pic of myself with it so you don't accuse me of grabbing random pics off the net. As far as sitting 6ft away, your eyes are gonna burn out eventually.....

And here's the second floor setup, but no systems because this is where my friends and I play guitar and it's right off the kitchen and my gf already doesn't like my other setups because I took over the whole house with them.
