Looking to buy a fun, light hearted 360 game. Preferably pick up and play.

It doesn't necessarily have to be an amazing looking game and neither does it have to be the best rated game here. Just fun.

Any ideas? (please say why you like it too - go into detail if you wish)

Thanks

i'll 2nd saints row. It's pretty easy and is some good fun.

I thought GRAW 2 was pretty pick up and play, same with GRAW 1.

To screw around with I like that Dirt game, I've only played the demo but it was pretty straight forward fun.

Tony Hawk Project 8 is good to just screw around in. Plenty of area to skate around in and the slow-mo "nail the trick" mode is a riot. I'd also second Crackdown with it's easy controls and very fun gameplay.

I would have to agree with Crackdown. You can really get into it but you also just pick it up for 15 min and increase your abilities.

Yeah, Dead Rising and Crackdown for sure are both games you can pick up and play, they're just soopen that you can go around and demo zombies or gangsters for a while and you never are really forced to keep playing cuz you have to get to a checkpoint or something like that.

I also recommend Viva Pinata. For people who haven't played it it might seem really kiddy but it's actually alot of fun and you never have to spend hours at a time (although it's quite addicting) to enjoy the game!

Dead Rising, hands down. If you decide to ignore the case files and just go on a zombie genocide, it is unbelievable fun to find new and funny ways to dispatch zombies.

LOL.I'm 5'8" 170 lbs and a 28 yr old Het. male with a child already here (11 months old - & congrats btw) and it is fun and addicting. In fact, last night I was just sitting back watching my wife play and I was still intrigued. or 8) either way that is a good game for messing around and Lost Planet is fun too.

Never got the Crackdown/GTA comparisons. So every sandbox game without Spiderman or Hulk and set in a city is a GTA clone? Crackdown doesn't have all that much to do with GTA. It has some very different gameplay mechanics, the only real similarities being that it's set in an open city and you kill gangsters. Saints Row, on the other hand...

Besides, everyone knows the Driver games are the worst GTA clones by far.

even though its multiplat, i had a lot of fun with Hitman: Blood Money. If you get into it, you will want to replay many levels multiple times in order to get a higher ranking or just mess around and have fun.

DiRT is also very fun to screw around with, especially since the damage modeling is absolutely amazing. I can have fun in that game just going the wrong way on a track and slamming other cars at high speeds, and watching the result.

Dude you're a total noob, Driver 2 was the first open-city sandbox gamein 3D, back in those days all GTA had was the top down mode. Then GTA came out on PS2 and it had guns and you could cause total chaso so it became the favrotie, but before that it was Driver so if anything's a clone it's GTA. Just because it's better that doesn't mean everything else is a ripoff of it.

On the topic though I'd say Saints Row, Guitar Hero, Dead Rising and Battlefield: Modern Combat

Sure, but GTA added guns and made the whole thing fun. Running around on foot in Driver 2 was pointless, GTA made it fun.

I loved it, when it first came out I played that game all the time just driving around the city and having police chases. Driver 2 was a great technical achievement as well because it was the first one (as far as I know) that had a whole city

i may be the first to say oblivion, but it is true. you can do whatever you want in that game and you dont have to save it. just run around breaking into peoples houses stealing their stuff and killing their dogs. i mean there is nothing better than that.

I meant "GTA clone" as in "GTA-type game". If you can read, I've been talking about sandbox games set in an open city. I never said GTA 3 was the first one. I just used the word "clone" because it's easier and simpler than saying "GTA-type game". Try to follow along. And I see you completely ignored the 3rd game in the series, the one that was destroyed by everyone (except probably you) for trying to be GTA and failing miserably. It's embarrassing that you're getting your panties in a wad over a series like Driver, but you know, to each his own.
