Hi. Just checking to see if Xbox Live for the 360 can use a Wireless router, or will I need a long cable to go to my internet connection? Thanks.

It can, but you need to buy the wireless adapter.

you can connect wirelessly. but you need a network adaptor for the 360 so it can pick up the signal from the router, you can also use a cable, which is my preference

Yep, all you need to get is the Wireless adaptor

The adapter is not $300. I got mine for $100. Linksys too, the Microsoft one that coins the XBox name is $100 also. I dunno where you got $300 at.
