Actually alot of us have payed for demos it just came with a OXM or PSM. Remember the Vegas demo came with the OXM, people bought that issue for the demo.
A demo in witch they put out there to get you interested to play it when it comes out or to draw more people that were sceptical about the game in question. But to pay for a demo would be ridiculous and not logical.
if it was like 50 ms points and it was a multiplayer demo for a hugely hyped game like halo3 or how gears of war was. would never pay for a demo of a sports game or something like that.
We payed for demos for years PS1/PS2/XBOX. It was only untill the 360 came out we get them for free. Those magazines with the big price tag that also contains a demo disk.....do you think that disk was free? Thats the reason for the more expensive price then other mags. I bought them mags and so did alot of you. So yes we have and we would pay for demos. We have a 360 now and we are spoiled with our free demos.
I would pay for the demo if that cost could be taken off the games price. that and you have to think they can't charge so much for a demo that no one plays it cuz why pay $5 for a demo if you can rent the game and play the whole thing for like 8 or 9 dollars or if you pay 15 a month for like gamefly or gamepass, I rented and beat 10 games last month for $15 gamerpass from blockbuster thats $1.50 to rent each game, so pointless for me to bother.
Yeah depends on the game and the date. Say they were offering a Resident Evil 5 demo right now for like $5, damn dood, I would gladly pay much more than that. But if it were something like the Crackdown demo, or anything else on the marketplace, nahhh
You shouldnt even bring up a topic like this it might give M$ ideas by the way im typing this on my laptop as we speak im breaking in to the M$ headquarters to steal the halo 3 demo SHHHHHHH.
