Will xbox one ever have games play in 1080p 60fps

Will xbox one ever have games that run at 60fps and also play in 1080p? I hope it's sometime next year because I would really like to buy a xbox one sometime soon and I was wondering if they will also make another xbox one without too the Kinnect. So I would love to have both systems both xbox is making so easy to just jump to ps4.

Considering the ps4 doesnt have A game that runs 1080p 60fps i think youre only hope is PC gaming.

All Xbox One games can be played in 1080p as they will be up-scaled. The game that runs in 1080p is Forza 5. However next year you will see Halo 5 in 1080p @60fps (that's what 343i have said). The difference between 720p (up-scaled to 1080p) vs 1080p is nothing major.

Get the console that you will benefit from as in the games that you would enjoy playing and with all your friends. Graphics should not come into the question as both consoles are unique in their own ways.

I'm not really that upset if it doesn't. I am surprised that both consoles are steadily running 1080p 60 on every game, that was something I expected. A game isn't built on numbers though, I'm having a lot of fun with the Titanfall beta and its 792p or whatever.

You do realize 3 games run that at launch? Forza, FIFA, and NBA2k14.

the games look amazing comparing them to the last gen titles... thats my take on it.

Although the whole 1080p BS doesn't really bother me, we already know the XO is entirely capable of producing 1080p games at 60FPS (eg Forza 5), the current resolutiongate saga will simply fizzle into the ether once MS begin to optimise the dev tools etc, and anyway I would much rather hit a solid 60FPS than trade against 1080p with the occasional frame rate drops.

Ultimately, its only been out for 3 months so all this BS means nothing in the bigger scheme of things.

Don't get obsessed. Tools will improve and eventually will give good results, just like in the PS2 era. Meanwhile you can still play solid games, It's not all about graphics.

This "controversy" is just one strategy to get the fanboys (of all the consoles) worked up. I wonder who the major agitators are, since several groups have skin in the game. Gamespot personnel constantly need fresh issues. Sony, of course, possibly benefits from the negative hype.

As a "mature" gamer, I've found bliss in standard definition - where the game and the gameplay took center stage. I hope developers continue to focus on making FANTASTIC GAMES, rather on being forced to fit any technical specification.

If they can do it with Forza 5 than it can be done. It may not be easy but it is possible. It's not about if it's about are the devs willing to work harder to make it happen. Or atleast deliver some games with great gameplay.

Dude thats just being way too narrow minded man come on. OT of course Xbox will see the light of day of 1080p 60 fps game, it's most likely that Halo 5 will be running at that power. However it's hard to tell sometimes when it comes to what is running at 1080p and what isn't, some games that suggest to be running at 1080p! are infact running at just over 900p and are upscaled to 1080p. Which game's you ask? that fact that you're asking, proves that the gap between 900-1080p is barely visible, so the gap from 720p to 1080p isn't that big of a deal.

Microsoft will have games in 1080p its just a matter of time.

Im sure theyll start hitting that threshold regularly in the near future, once MS optimise dev tools and the devs start figuring out the best ways to maneuver the x1s esram. However id rather they focus more on gameplay and story etc in their games. The difference btwn 720 and 1080 though noticeable to ps4 peeps isnt worth writing home about at the end of the day. Both consoles render graphics far superior to last gen, and so far MS seems to be coming through for their players in terms of exclusives and dlc content. Prepare for Titanfall!

yeah eventually they will, i mean the console just launched they dont even know its "full potential" yet. Look at the release at early 360 games, now look at them. GTA V compared to 4 graphics wise is unbelievable, Gears of War 3, i mean its like every console, games for the xbox one will look absolutely out standing in the future!

1080p more than likely, but 60fps? Don't hold your breath on it.

It was 1 game (CoD), and suddenly everyone thinks Xb1 doesn't support 1080p @ 60fps. Really it's down to the dev, and what they code. But games are already out for the Xb1 that run 1080p @ 60fps, like Forza.

I thought the new SDK wasn't out yet... maybe I'm wrong.

Either way, if that's why, and if the SDK really is ironing this out, I hope CD Projekt Red can get The Witcher 3 in tip-top shape with it.
