On the 360, Chief. I could show my dad a picture of Master Chief, and he'd say, "Oh, he's from that Halo game that made all that money." I seriously doubt he'd recognize any other character from a 360 game.

its pretty Obvious that Master Chief is the face of the xbox 360 well at least the armor of the 360

Are you kidding? Just look at Chief. That armor just screams 'I am a mysterious man who probably harbors a sensitive side'.

On a serious note. Yeah. Chief is the Character icon. Actually. I beleive it works like so:

Microsoft - XBOX 360 - Mascot: MAster Chief (Or alternatively Marcus Phenix)

Sony - PS3 - Mascot: BluRay Logo Man

Nintendo - Wii - Mascot: Just about everything.

I would have to agree with RROD, I've had more of those than Gears and Halo games have been released for the system. Nobody get their scruffies in a bunch, I still love my 360.

The reverse is not true at all. If you show someone Pac-man without the 360, no one's going to think Xbox. I think that's what the thread's talking about. By your reasoning, Mario is one of the most recognized characters on the PC because of Mario Teaches Typing.
