I think Master Chief would be the popular pick. Not too "mature" to not be marketable to the younger crowd, but not something that caters specifically to the younger crowd.

Shepard!!!! haha...It's obviously Master Chief, and I'm not even a huge Halo fan. But if it was my vote, I'd choose anyone from Mass Effect, the best xbox game.

Master Chief made the xbox brand what it is today. Besides Microsoft will always support the Halo brand and it will always be a Microsoft exclusive.

LOL Halo 2 was a pretty awful port. And still, the PC versions flopped in sales. Its still regarded an xbox brand, like how Metal Gear solid is considered a playstation brand despite appearing on numerous platforms (PC, Xbox etc)

Not even debatable, its master chief. I'm really hoping that Bungie continue MC's story after they're done making Reach. The cliffhanger ending of Halo 3 really wanted me to play more. Maybe for the next xbox console, just as long as I get more halo!! :cry:

What? It`s a 360 game,I know there on the PC but their still considered 360 games and they are BETTER on the 360

Master Chief is a no brainier he has been around sense the original Xbox, but because we are talking about the 360 I have to say Marcus from Gears of War. Because I didn't want to buy a 360 until I played Gears of War.

I hate Master Chief and Marcus. I don't see why Ryu would. MC would make the most sense even though he's a horrible character.

But I think Marcus may become the new one along with the next generation Xbox.

Halo won't be the same and Epic wants their next Gears to be on next gen consoles. So MS will probably use that as their main flagship title.

master chief without a doubt. it doesnt matter that halo 1 and 2 are on pc, its still a microsoft machine so technically hes a poster boy for all microsoft machines. also whoever made this poll, i dunno why you would think ryu hayabusa could be a poster boy for the xbox. he has 2 games on the xbox, but you obviously have forgotten (or too silly to realise) ninja gaiden has been around for nearly 20 years. originally released on sega's consoles. EPIC FAIL FOR YOU. although marcus could be a decent choice, Gears is a mature game for mature audiences. to be a poster boy, you need to cater to all gamers, young and old.

If you are asking the poster boy for the Xbox franchise, I would say Master Chief.

BUT, if you are just talking about the 360, I would have to go with Marcus, only because I believe Gears of War 1+2 made mor of an impact than Halo 3.

But MC is the cancer that is killing the /360/. Marcus started on the 360 and was the reason I bought into it the first time around. And Team Ninja just selectively codes for the most powerful system at the time, and doesn't have much loyalty in that sense.

Not extremely crazy about the game but Bungie saved Microsoft's butt in the early yearsof XBOX. Because of this game many people bought the console. Master Chief would be the logical choice.

What are you on? The Halo 2 port was just plain awful, no way was it better than the console version, also, Master Chief or Comm. Shepard would be a better choice.
