After completing 'Bioshock 2' earlier today, (even though the water effects did'nt look as good as the original) I was just wondering which 360 titles made you stop n stare in wonderment at the water or fire within certain games.

I don't know how it holds up now, but some of the fire effects in Modern Warfare were insane when it came out.

From Dust has some pretty good water effects, especially for an xbla game.

Crysis 2 water and explosions look pretty spectacular as well.

I agree, especially on the water side of things.

I agree on From Dust. Far Cry 2 had cool fire effects. Tomb Raider Underworld had some good environments and water..

I'm surprised no one's said Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. The water on that game is amazing.

I always thought the fire in GTA4 looked real good. It's been a while since I've played it though.

Battlefield 1943 had some pretty awesome effects.

Assassins Creed 2 had it almost perfect though. Everything from the physics to the appearance

Halo 3 had great water. I used to love watching dead bodies floating away. As for fire, probably Far Cry 2.

I agree with Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood. I played the first game just before the second, and the difference in the water textures between the first and second was...incredible.

Water-wise, definitely Bioshock. A lot of games have realistic looking water, but none that flows and twists as believably as Bioshock's. And I dont recall many particularly amazing fire effects, but maybe World at War or Far Cry 2

I saw the thread and immediately thought Bioshock.
