Does anyone know of any stores that are selling the 20GB Xbox 360 for $200? A friend of mine went to a Costco (which is like a Sam's Club I guess) and they had the 20GB systems plus a controller for $200. Unfortunately, he at first thought it was the Arcade version and didn't buy it, then he went back to check on them and they were sold out. The reason I'm asking is because I would like to get my sister one for Christmas but I'm too cheap to buy a new 60GB system. Haha :P

Any input is appreciated.

Yeah I know they don't make the 20GB's anymore. That Costco store had them for that price to try and get rid of the ones they still had, to make room for more 60GB's. Sorry, I should've explained that I guess.

Where are there 60GB's for $200!? I didn't know any store was doing that.

60gb = $300. If its for your sister just get her an Arcade for $200. You'll be hard pressed to find a 20gb for that price. Your sister probably won't be going DLC crazy and even if she did 20gb is more than enough unless you want to have like 10 hours of video on your HDD. MS is selling 20gb HDD for $30. Just grab one of those. If you buy the arcade now and redeem if for the HDD, you'll be set to give her the full package on Christmas day.

Okay, I might have to do that. Are the Arcades backwards compatible? I know she has a desire to play through the first 2 Halos and some of the other original Xbox games. My sister is 19 just so everyone knows, so I'm not buying for someone really young.

Just buy an arcade for 200 then buy a hard drive from MS or ebay or buy a used console with the 20gb hd from ebay for right around 200.

And yes the arcade is compatible with original xbox games. All versions are.

Yeah, I'd say it's for real. I just checked a couple of black friday sites and they're saying the same thing about the Circuit City deal. I hate going shopping on black friday though. :( Oh well, I'll suck it up.

I didn't think the Arcades were backwards compatible but according to Xbox.com they must be with a hard drive.

What you can do is buy the arcade version for 199$ and call MS and ask if they still are selling the 20GB HDD for 20$ (after you buy an arcade 360).

I've said it once and I'll say it again: Craigslist.org. If you live in a county that has a somewhat decent population, I doubt you'll have problems finding a good deal. i bought my 60 GB Xbox in September, and it was a June model, for $180! I felt like I stole it; the previous owners only owned it for two weeks. If you don't want to wait, I see 20GB models selling for $160 regularly. Try it and tell me if it works.
