When I first got the 360 at launch. I was so excited I couldn't believe that it was actually here. And then when I first turned it on I was in amazement from what I saw. But Mass Effect has me feeling more than ever that this really is NEXT-GEN!
Honestly, when I started playing PDZ on launch day...I remember the screen blurred when you turned around really fast. I will remember that moment in 360 history forever.
Launch day 2005 playing Condemned after I got back from the store an 12:30AM. Such a creepy game with an atmosphere like nothing I'd experienced on any generation of consoles. I knew then that the 360 was going to be an awesome console.
i would say first time i played CoD2 demo at walmart b4 launch...but there was a moment b4 that it was when i walked up to the kiosk n first held the controller in my hands....love at first sight :-P
didn't i answer this yeaterday? anyway once agan, launch night. the smoke grenade in cod2. and it wasn't just eye candy, it was an important part of the gameplay. i couldn't have beat the game without it.
It was a couple weeks ago and I realized that all of the new consoles are out. Then I thought about the old ones, and no matter what Sony says about the PS2, they're all obsolete. So then I thought "Huh, I guess it's finally here. Can't believe I didn't notice that transition before."
I first thought this was next-gen actually the day the OXM rumor mole showed the first ever picture of a 360 game (Gears). No one knew what game it was and it was only a minor screenshot but it was still cool.
while i was playing oblivion..and gears of war....and all the marketplace goodies...and now the mass effect trailers make it seem that the next gen is way ahead of its league
CoD2 in store. There was literally a line-up to play it and people were just standing around and watching the game play. People were Ooo'ing and Ahh'ing but it was not because of my skillz. (I kept throwing grenades at walls by accident) It was because of the overall game. Good times.
I thought that games aswell as Xbox 360 were NEXT-GEN a few weeks before the console was released. I went to EB Games and played Call of Duty 2 for the first time and thought that the graphics were crazy especially on the Samsung HDTVs.
Gears. Simply enough it was the first time I played on a 360 and the first game I played on one and even though it wasn't in HD my eyes literally wouldn't blink. It was great. I hadn't felt that dorky in a long time :lol:
Looking at the ginormous power brick and thinking to myself, "How am i supposed to plug this ****ing thing in?", cause the space behing the tv where the outlet was was pretty small. Or maybe 10 minutes after that while looking at the training course in COD 2. That game still looks great.
Remembering that the last game I had played on my PS2 was Vice City Stories, playing Gears on my new HDTV was mind blowingly awesome. Fantastic visuals, booming sound, and me.....getting killed. :D. Frankly, after playing Gears and Oblivion, I struggle to even look at PS2 games now. :D:D
