the longest i had a game sealed before i opened and played it was from what i can remember was like 5 months COD4, i got Assassins Creed and COD4 for xmas 07 and i played AC first and was addicted to it and stabbing people in the throat is pretty fun but then i eventually got around to COD4
in my case it would have to be CoD4 and Tom Clancy's End War, bought them on the same day and played CoD4 for months on end until i realised end war was still in its packaging, opened it up popped it in and ive been playing it recently.
also within the last month i bought CoD5 and Last Remnant, havent opened Last Remnant yet lol
6 Weeks. Can't remember what 2 games it was, but it was 2 preorders I received in the mail after console got RROD. This was when repair center was super busy.
I think it was two weeks. That's because I got a load of games for Christmas and decided to save some for a little while. :P Turns out I'm not very patient that way.
6 years and going Shenmue 2 European for Dreamcast, played the Xbox version.
9 years and going, RealMyst, at the time, did not have the computer power to play it and forgot about it till this day, still unopen.
2 years and going. for Super Mario Galaxy, bought the game but don't have a Wii because I did not want to buy the players choice when I felt like buying a Wii. I got a Xbox 360 instead.
Three days for Banjo and Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. I hadn't received the code for the XBLA title and wasn't going to open it until I did (in case I didn't and had to return it). Other than that, I always open my games within hours of obtaining it. Actually playing it, well that's another story...(think years).
preorder and paid off Jericho... the day before it arrived my 360 goes bunk... i send it to the repair center... Jericho remains unopened for about 4 weeks... i got my 360 back and played the hell out of Jericho... it was a fun game... but limited... i got everything out of it in 3 playthroughs that took 1 night because of my feverish rate of play... really wish i hadn't done that... Jericho could still be fun
For me, I think it was about three weeks with Metal Gear Solid 4. I was renting almost all of the exclusive titles for PS3 to see how they stacked up. I think I waited so long because I heard that it was a really long game and I wanted to make sure I had an ample amout of time to play it. Now I'm going through my second play through of it.

i do the same thing even though the manual has pointless information, i still read it.
I got Burnout Paradise and Call of Duty 4 at the same time, and didn't open Burnout Paradise for a couple of days because I was really busy with school and just decided to open CoD first.
About 2 months and still going, and that game is Lost Odyssey. I'm going to play it, but I'm working on other RPGs right now so I feel no need to actually open it.
Right now i have not opened Condemed 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Bioshock, 007 Quantam of Solace, and Battlefield Bad Compny. I got all these games when they were on sale for 30 and under, also 9.99 for Condemed 2 and Ninja Gaiden 2,I had to buy them at the time. They have been in wrapper now for about 2 months.
I bought the following games at launch and still have not played them: Assassins Ceed, GTA IV, Gears 2, The Orange Box, Metal Gear Solid 4, Mirrors Edge, Left 4 Dead, & Splinter Cell Double Agent. I tend to play online shooters to death before I move on. Call of Duty 4 and WAW have really screwed me up on playing other games. I did however, finally tackle Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank FTOD......or they would be on that list as well.
I had Far Cry 2 for ten days before I played it since I had just purchased Gears of War 2 and Fallout 3. The closest to that is about a week with Assassin's Creed since I was waiting for my new console to arrive.
I got the PS2 game 24 for christmas one year and never opened it. I just recently traded it in with the wrapper still on it. I think I had it for a couple years.
Probably 5 minutes. I always open them up in the car once I get it out of the store. But if you mean just haven't played once you got it, then I went 8 months without playing GTAIV. I bought it with my 360 because I got a $50 gift card with it, but I ended up playing Mass Effect instead
Viewtiful Joe 2, I had that game sealed for 2-3 years before opening it. I wasn't planning to buy it but did anyway because I saw it real cheap, then I put it aside and forgot about it
I currently have around 5 un-opened 360 games. I allways pick up cheap games if they are relatively good. I just got Dark Sector in the mail today, brand new for 10 dollars at newegg. Lego Batman the Complete Saga is unopened (10 dollars new), Turok unopened (10 dollars new). I just opened Brothers in Arms that I purchased for 20 dollars.
But when AAA titles come out those are opened as soon as I get 'em!
I'm thinking the time it took me to drive from the store back to my house is the longest I've gone without opening a game and playing it, even if I happen to just pop it in and play it for a couple minutes and never play it again... example Ratchet and Clank for the Ps3
I got Pirates Of The Carribean on PC last Christmas, and it's still sealed...but for the 360, I've had Mass Effect for over a month and haven't opened it yet. XD
