lol I remember a time when Christmas was about not knowing what you're getting. These days, kids are doing the shopping with their parents.
I remember when I got an SNES for Christmas. I wanted it SOOOO bad. So on Christmas morning, I had this HUGE box with my name on it...so I got a little upset thinking "this isn't an SNES". Then I opened it, and it was a huge - empty - box, with my SNES in it.
So yeah, I wanted it...but I didn't actually think I was getting it.
DAMNStoked does not come out until jannuary.
NE way i'm getting Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3 and CoD:WaW 360 wise. Also getting other not 360 things.

I'm hoping to get Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead on 360 or LBP, Resistance 2 for PS3. As for my wii.... nothing

Overall I hate christmas, and what I can't stand is people getting tonns of rubbish that they don't want, so I think that people asking for what they want is a good idea. I recently got a new elite because i needed the HDD (and I needed anotehr console, don't ask) and I got COD: WAW and Left 4 Dead in advance for christmas and actually on the day I'm getting RB2. I don't care about being suprised because there is nothing my parents could suprise me with and they wouldn't know what games to buy me so If I just tell them what I want I get what a I want and its win win because I get what I want and they don't waste money. I also don't really care about getting stuff on christmas day either, I'd rather enjoy it now and play it up to christmas. I think that christmas is too commercialised and I tihnk that there is too much emphasis on presents on christmas day, the only thing thats nice about it is spending time with family with that nice 'christmas' feel. Rant over lol ... sorry -.-Yeah I know what you mean. I remember when the Playstation came out and I wanted one so bad. On christmas morning I didn't see the box so I was upset. Then in January we walked in Target and they had one and I was so excited so I got the Playstation and some games because my b-day was in March. I don't know what I want for christmas because I have mostly everything I want. I want a car or a bigger HDTV.lol I remember a time when Christmas was about not knowing what you're getting. But it shouldn't mean you're gonna get them. Nor should a kid expect or say "I'm getting this, and this...and this." just because they asked for it.
"I'd rather enjoy it now and up to Christmas"....so what's the point of Christmas? I guess you like getting your birthday presents a month early too.
What you say is just very contradicting.

The point of christmas to me is the whole feeling of christmas its not about presents. I don't really 'want' anything because I buy what I want throughout the year and at this time I carry on buying what I want, its just I would rather have these things for christmas rather than get stuff I don't wnat at christmas for the sake of it.the reason why i liek my presents early is because i guess liek what you said, there is no fun in openign something you know your getting on christmas day so it is better to get it early, also I would ratehr start using things like the new HDD earlier ratehr than later. Don't get me wrong, I see where you are coming from, when I first got my xbox on christmas 2005 I didn't know whether I was going to get it or not because they had sold out and when I got it it was great but now since I don't want anything I would ratehr just have what I am going to buy now anyway for christmas.
I was just thinking about that....only I am even a little bit older than you, since for me it was atari....lol but Yes, it amazes me how many people KNOW what there getting these days!lol I remember a time when Christmas was about not knowing what you're getting. i hate xmas for the same reason. money dont grow off trees and we go pick it off and go buy w/e the F we want and if the person dont like we can say owell i go pick some more. no buddy dont work like that. most people have a limit budget or a big family they need thing of so they need know how to spend the money making the person happy. not buying some useless junk that person is not going to use and put a fake smile on there face when they see it.and for the last part most people who are older know what xmas is all about and will remain that way. for young people it will stay the some along with greedy people or rich parents who buys there kids anything and tell the shooÂ

I'll be getting:
-a new cellphone
-Fallout 3
-Fable 2
-Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
-Left for Dead
....I hope...
Well, I asked for some movies, The Office merchandise, a volleyball, and some games, but I have no idea if I'll get them or not. I live abroad, so I don't really know what my family is doing...
But, for the games department, I asked for: Fallout 3, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Symphonia 2, Ratchet & Clank: ToD, Naruto: UNS, and Resistance 2. I also treated myself to Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant with Black Friday deals. And I had pre-ordered Persona 4 awhile back as well.
