I don't really see the point in pre-ordering games. Pretty much any store will have plenty of copies (excluding Gamestop).
are you kidding.. gamestop doesn't run out. I agree there is no point tho, I'd rather wait a couple weeks and get a game at a discount off ebay, amazon, gladriel, whatever. Madden is 40 bucks now in the right places, whos the fool preordering it for 60.I don't really see the point in pre-ordering games. Then the managers told the employees to say "That's why we tell everyone to preorder" when you came for something and it was sold out. Well that lasted about 3 months until the geniuses realized that people were just walking over to Walmart, which is usually about 100ft away and spending their money there.Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days

Dead Rising 2 - Zombrex Edition
Medal of Honor

I'm assuming you're from the U.K. - on that basis, at least for online preordering, Game is the best place to preorder from. Gameplay is technically cheaper (usually by £2) but if you have a reward card you get the money back in terms of £2 worth of reward points. Amazon isactuallyone of the worst in myexperience, they don't even ship the game until release day (Game ship two days before release on first class mail, so youreceiveit the day before release).
For the 360: Halo Reach Legendary Edition. It was in my Amazon Gold Box, so I got a nice chunk off, plus no tax, a $20 game credit, and free release date delivery (Prime member); all too good to pass up. I love decorating my gaming room with game-themed items, and this edition will be great for that.

I think of preorders more of a brick and mortar thing tho, amazon does have some great preorder deals sometimes. So does Dell.com oddly enough. Those in game bonuses for preorders from gamestop or whatever, aren't enough to make me pay an extra 20 dollars.I don't really see the point in pre-ordering games. Gamestop hasn't been out of a single game i'ver ever looked for for like 5+ years.[QUOTE="billyd5301"][QUOTE="fastr"] are you kidding.. gamestop doesn't run out. Different Gamestops are run differently. Entirely depends on your form of purchase. I pre-ordered Fable III, Halo: Reach, and CoD: Black Ops, all on Amazon. If you pre-order those games on Amazon, you get a $20 Amazon gift card for each. For those 3 pre-orders, that's a free $60 which I can apply to any electronics purchase (not just games). I already know I'm going to get those games, so why not: pay no tax, get free release-date delivery, and a free $20 per game? It makes little sense to go buy it in a store with those options given to me. I get free release date shipping because I am currently a college student, to whom they give a free year of Prime. If you're currently a college student, you can get it too. You just need your student e-mail.I don't really see the point in pre-ordering games. Pretty much any store will have plenty of copies (excluding Gamestop).

No cost, they come with extras a lot (ranging from worthless to something really good for free), some less popular games won't even be in stock without a preorder (if you live in a smaller town that is very likely for some titles), special editions, you get a call when they get the game in (which is nice since publishers don't like to tell us if the release date they list is a ship date or in store date), if payed off someone else can pick it up for you if they are in the area, etc.I don't really see the point in pre-ordering games. Pretty much any store will have plenty of copies (excluding Gamestop).
