You mean what does it mean to me? What the heck kinda question IS this?
It's called marketing. How does the number 360 make you feel? To a lot of people it represents a revolution (360 degrees), which, taken as a play on words, signifies subconciously that the Xbox 360 is a revolution in gaming. To others, it's just a higher number than 3 (PS3) so it's GOT to be better right? It's word association. The number is whatever you make it out to be.
I vote the next xbox to be named either the Eggbox or MS Moneybox.Platearmor_6One more X and it can be the XXX box. XXboX:P
xbox 360 means this :
we made crap with the xbox, we took a look at what needed to be done better, so we did a 360 degre turn, got back on the same tracks, and continued to make crap
so now we will as customers to PAY PAY PAY AND PAY EVEN MORE SO WE BECOME MORE RICH
^Topic^ after all these years... i luved the Xbox 360 adn Xbox but i never knew waht it ment...waht deos it mean? OnlineGama
Well if you mean what does the 360 stand for it means that the entertainment revolves around you. Â You need to make yourself a bit more clear cause I cant tell 100% what you mean.Â
Please tell me how much money the Xbox and Xbox 360 have made for Microsoft.xbox 360 means this :

I belive the X came from DirectX, which is used in the XBox and 360? Also yes, it sounds enigmatic. Enigmatic and silly.Javaguychronox
Â
You sir are correct as the Xbox was orginally gonna be called the DirectXbox but then Microsft realized how stupid that sounded and made it just the Xbox.
I don't understand why all these Microsoft haters bought the damn thing if they are just going to complain about it 24/7.Bladecutter56
You asnwered your own question:p They buy it so that they can complain about it and make it same like a bad system

360: Revolution in the gaming world, and doesn't make the second Xbox seem inferior to the PS3...
Xbox: First game console that uses DirectX 8.1.....So that's where the X comes from DirectX...
Â
Does that anser your question??????????????'
It means that MS went in a full circle and ended up right where they started. With an XBOX and not a next gen. console.queenster08
Not really, just 'cuz you ain't an Xbox fan or simply you don't like the Xbox 360 you can't say MS went backwards....How about Nintendo, Nintendo never seems to move from the same place it's in...And SONY well they're another story lol....But what I'm getting at is I don't see MS being in the same place where they started 5 years ago...I see MS being in the Next-Gen era with a console that beats any other console outthere...With awesome graphics, great games and the best Online Service called Xbox Live on the planet with more than 2 million users come ooooon what more do you want people...
NO No no.. you guys are wrong.. the 360 does imply a circle as in 360 degrees, but what it means is not a revolution in gaming, Bayani789he is partially right in the case that it doesn't mean a circle but instead a circullar spiral being steached slightly making it a next gen. system
What a ridiculous question to have on a forum. Just go to the Xbox site and look what it stands for, and quit being stupid. Quoted from Xbox.com "By now you've already heard how Xbox 360 puts you at the center of the most powerful games on the planet -- hence the "360," as in 360 degrees (geometry students will recognized that as the number of degrees in a circle.) To accomplish this feat, Microsoft has brought together a full circle of powerful factors.

It means that MS went in a full circle and ended up right where they started. With an XBOX and not a next gen. console.queenster08I saw your profile you don't even have a xbox or xbox 360 console you don't know anything about what they offer . and comparing to your ps3 , xbox360 games have better graphics and quality so far .
NO No no.. you guys are wrong.. the 360 does imply a circle as in 360 degrees, but what it means is not a revolution in gaming, but instead it represents the time the xbox spends in transit from you to the repair center, then back to you...making a full circleBayani789
good oneÂ
i think that people don't necessarily hate the 360 its just that there jelous that sony had to make six systems including PS3:playstation, ps1, ps2, ps2 slim, psp, and finally ps3. they are just afraid that soon enought sony will run out of ideas and loose to MS. Well the wii is like everyone says a lethal weapon(breaking tv's and such).i wouldn't be surprised if they came up with ps3 slim.mm250
you can't even stand with good arguements to support your favorite console, all you do is bash the competitors and you have nothing to show us that you like your 360Â

Intentional mispelling of everything? If not... oh boy.Â
... what's really funny is that you have to pay more for anything that Sony makes...
but seriously, what the first guy said, it's a full revolution, playing on the 360 degrees, but with all the new things they added in, including achievements, marketplace, and added xbox live friend functions, it was suppose to place you in the middle of all that was going on... so you were in the middle of this circle, with everything you wanted all around you... really cheesy to say, but great marketing. The only downpoint is that with the whole idea or "you're in the middle of it all" it really promotes narsacism, which is a bad thing...
"sorry we made gamers even bigger pricks than they were before, we were just trying to make profit and kill Sony."Â - MS Representative.

360 - it means when you do a complete spin [or flip a car] in a racing game in first person perspective on a big screen it FEELS like you really did a 360 in real life - with all the vertigo and sick feelings that come along with it... for bonus points; if you can make your audience motion sick too - that's a double 360 ;)
lol same with the PSÂ it spun around and hit playstation two but the only differnce is that it got worsexbox 360 means this :

sorry for double posting, but Nintendo 64... you can't be serious... *sigh*... the console was 64 bit... that's all that meant.
And for those of you who never looked it up, here's the processing power of all the console starting with the Nintendo's revolutionary leap to America.
NES - 8 bit
Sega Genasis - 16 bit
SNES - 16 bit
Sega Saturn - 32 bit dual processor
Sony Playstation -Â 32 bit
N64 - 64 bit
Sega Dreamcast - 128 bit
Sony PS2 - 128 bit
Game Cube - 128 bit
Xbox - 256 bit
Nintendo Wii - 128 bit (new architecture and processors make games look better)
Xbox 360 - three 10 Mb cores or 251,658,240 bits
Sony PS3 - 32 Mb or 268,435,456 bits
Gameboy - 8 bit
Sega Gamegear -Â 12 bit
Gameboy Color - 8 bit
Sega Nomad - 16 bit
Gameboy Advance -Â 24 bit
Nintendo DS - 64 bit
Sony PSP - 128 bit
There Sony fans, you can truly see the glory that is your PS3. It out matches the 360 by a whopping 16,777,216 bits... which really isn't that much, considering Sony doesn't know how to properly program for it yet... listen, I know the PS3 is going to have the best looking games on the market... some day, but right now, quiting bragging about nothing... sorry, got a little off topic there.
And where's the next Gameboy?? I own a DS, but it's not the same. All the game devs have to come up with some gimmick in which to use the touch screen. It's annoying. I just want a single screen gameboy, a powerful processor for nicer looking gameboy games, and 4 buttons! Why does it have to have 2?? Just make the DS, take off the bottom screen, make it thinner with absence of bottom screen and sell it!... ok, I'm done now.
