I have been having a lot of fun messing around with the gears of war split-screen co-op.  However, it seems like the amount of games with split-screen has dramatically fallen since the good old days.  Are there any new games besides GOW that have great multiplayer co-op that can be played on a single 360 and screen?  if not, is there anything comming out soon that will?  Thanks for any responses = )

perfect dark zero. you can play multiplayer split screen w. bots, or you can play story mode co-op. i didnt like multiplayer, or single player to puch. but co op story mode is alot of fun, it really is. i recomend you pick it up.

Hmmm, I have perfect dark, I guess I never really tried out the co-op. Got the game before I moved into a college dorm, so co-op was never a big thing to me. Thanks for reminding me it had that = D

My reccomendations are Call Of Duty 2 and 3. They are great Split Screen but don't go on to seperate teams if you are playing on live otherwise people will think you are cheating, and finding out each others respawn points. Same goes with Gears Of War.

Splitscreen vs. sucks though. Makes sniping, etc. extremely hard because the screen-lookers can look at your screen and tell where you are by where you're looking and from what angle. It does make for some hilarious situations when you are sneaking up on a guy and they look at your screen and let out a yelp when they realize you are right behind them though! System Link ftw.

i think you mean call of duty 2 and 3. these games have good online split screen but there is no coop story mode if thats what youre looking for

Also GRAW 1 and 2 have a good amount of coop

Split-screen bugs me. Once you get used to having a screen to yourself, it's hard to go back.

Since it costs so much to develop games these days things are being cut. I believe that split-screen was one of those things to be cut by many developers. That, and quests are shorter than ever before.
