I know this is a heavily hyped game, but I am curious how many read Orson Scott Card Empire, which the game is based off of. It is about a modern day Civil War not between states, but between the Left and the Right. Liberal vs. Conservative. Very good book and I highly recommend it.

Well he is a Mormon, so that is to be expected. What is funny is that my extremely liberal friend recommended me the book after having enjoying it himself. It was right leaning, but both sides were pretty insane.

I used to live with a Mormon family. It was quite interesting, but they are very giving people.

It was ok. Card was really hitting on all cylinders with Ender's Game possibly my favorite book of all time, but everything else Ive read that he has written has only been decent.

Card's other books don't even compare to his Ender's Game universe. Didn't bother to read any of his other works besides that.

I'm a fan of Card. Love the Ender/Bean books for the most part. The Alvin Maker series is also good. I read Empire, and from what I understand the game is not based on the book. The game creators came up with it then contacted Card to work on story/book. It's a pretty good read though.

ender's game is not even close to being his best work. There are several books within that series that are milestones better than ender's game
