RE5 is it over hyped or be a game of the year for 2009?

I don't know what everyone else thinks but man RE5 is going to be awesome. I have watched every video for it so far and im just amazed what capcom has instore for the next game in the series. I can not wait till this game comes out. Is it over hyped or will it be a strong contender for game of the year in 2009?

It's definitely not RE 4.5. I want to know how it is RE 4.5? That would be like saying RE2 is RE 1.5. What were you expecting anyways? From what I've seen, RE5 does everything that RE4 didnt do, and more. The graphics alone blows RE4 out of the water. Then we have 2-player campaign co-op, weather, day and night cycle, and so much more. I don't think anyone here has the right to call it 4.5, especially if they haven't played it. Elann2008

RE2 wasn't Resident Evil 1.5, it was Resident Evil .5

Honestly, I'd be happy with RE4 with updated graphics. But it's looking as if it's going to be so much more than that.

The XBL co-op alone makes it worth it.

personally i think it wont meet the hype due to it being too similar to RE4. now dont get me wrong a tag me a gimp cuz i am the biggest resident evil fan out there, i could tell you so much pointless facts about the story and i even completed
resident evil 2 Lean A in approx 57 minutes. its just the news RE5 only seems to have one new featuer, hopefully i am wrong though

RE has always progressed, they have never degressed. Especially ever since they hit onto PS2.

Either way, if RE5 doesn't get game of the year, it's understandable. On the other hand if it does get Game of the Year it will be very well recepted.

And the Hype in my opinion is not enough.

Of course it has to be similar but going as far as saying it's TOO simiiar is a bit far-fetched. Being a big Resident Evil fan, you should be a shamed of yourself! :P
