Sometimes I just press the button on the front and sometimes I hold the guide button. Usually the guide though.
Even though I place my controller next to my console after every session (meaning I still walk to my console after ever session...meaning I'm not lazy), I still turn it off with the controller. I believe the less I press the console power button, the less wear and tear on the actual console, and maybe more Xbox longevity. I feel like any moving parts I can touch less means more use.

Please tell me you're joking. Well, then again, what should I expect from a person who can't even spell "butt" right?
No I'm not joking. I actually take care of myself, and if you're implying that I'm a brainless jock then your obviously insecure about yourself. Was my post gramatically correct enough for you?The only time I play my 360 is when I'm about to kill myself. So I usually have the power cord wrapped around me neck. When I begin to pass out from the boredom that are xbox 360s games, including so-called classic Oblivion, the cord usually gets hanked out of the wall.

He's just trying to say that it doesn't make you lazy if you don't get up and turn off the Xbox with the power button, don't get to pissy about it :PI have this habit of turning off the system every time I change a disc if its already on, just something set in my mind from the first play station, went like this most times ( playing disc 1 reach the end, pop open tray replace disc 1 with disc 2 press power... "Aw crap now I have to re play all that again" pop open tray take out disc 2 put in 1 press power start over... ) So I try to turn it off from the controller as often as I can so as to break the cycle. Yeah I know I cant open the tray with the power off now but I some how still do it with multi disc games lol.
Depends, if I'm playing online and get totally mad and want to quit, I just press the button in anger :P... If I'm just turning it off then Hold down guide button>Power off
Motion to turn it off thanks to Natal.
gago-gago
