I've seen some gamertags out there and I wonder to myself how did this person come up with their tag.My 360 gamer tag is dmars hall, I was watching football last year and saw Brian dawkins of the eagles with his name on his doo rag it said b dawk so i sort of did the same thing. The first letter in my name and my last name.
I believe a sociological study could be done on the way people choose their gamertags. Mine happens to be my dog's name "Gatsby" who happens to act like a real pig-because he is so, very smart. Hence the name, gatsbythepig.
Was playing Jedi Knight 2 for PC on multiplayer with a friend, realised I wanted a new name, first thing that came up was Perception, been running with that for about two years now.

Really? I thought it was from the book The Great Gatsby :) Iuno if there were any "pig" symbolism for Gatsby but that's what I thoughttt.
Anyways my 1st GT was DarkStone which came from an old PS1 and PC RPG game. Pretty fun for its time.
My current GT, shadyrecordskk, is from Shady Records cuz I luv Eminem's stuff 'n rap (Well now less rap, more rock, but still good stuff) 'n the kk is my initials.
I use two names, all the time. SnipeyMcSnipe I just seriously created in my head at a random moment, back when I used to play Delta Force 2 (my first online game). My other name is Pennyw1se, from the name of the badass clown in the book "It".
Mine is a combination of what my friends call me (Fallen) and I just thought of something else (Soul). I tried FallenXAngel but it was taken so I settled with FallenXxXSoul and Ive been runnin on it ever since I got xbox live.

It used to be revolver ocelot (mgs character), then I got into a clan and we had prefixes for a while so it was xxFHSxxREVOLV3R then we started playing Rainbow Six which has prefixes built in so I just changed it to xREVOLV3Rx.
Mine's GoochRipper. Started in Halo LAN parties with the guys at my old place. The gooch is a pet name for the flap of skin that connects a man's junkbag to his pooty pucker, and since I had a tendency to rip most opponents an new a-hole during matches, Goochripper just kinda made sense to me. Â

the name I use for everything. It's a combination of my initals and the first two letters of my last name. The number was supposed to only be 4, but someone already had that, so I just added another 4. 44 sounds better anyway =)
well my name was just stfu man but me and my friends are starting up a clan with a serial killer theme. Now it is SKA Zodiac. It stands for serial killers anonymous and each person changes their name to include SKA and the name or nick-name of a serial killer after it.
My Gamertag came from one of my Favorite Wrestlers, Rob Van Dam and the ECW part is Extreme Championship Wrestling, the Federation back in the late 90's that he wrestled for and the thug part was just a little add on, because when I first started to use it, I use Rvdecwthug for almost everything on the internet and that is how I came up with my Gamertag
mine is goku from dbz of course, and kuja from ff9. i've had the name for a couple years and thought of any others, i suck at making names. on 360 i really dont want to pay $10 to do it either.Â
on some sites/games i go by jcs or something like that, jimmies chicken shack. a very good rock/alternative w/e the hell you want to clasify them as.Â
Couldn't think of a name and I asked my buddy for a good name. He was playing Oblivion and he must have used the spell "Deathly Visage" recently after I asked and he told me to use that.
M0nkey Munch came about cos it kinda just rolled off the tounge ... used it since DC days on PSO we wanted Monkey something else but we weren't allowed that many characters so we shortened it to what it has become now ... and TBH I'm very attached to the name
