One Man Army Achievement GTA 4 Help

um, I have heard that you could get the achievement by going under the algonquin-broker subway underpass and stay there for the 5 minutes required. Thing is, I have already discovered Algonquin. Is this a problem for me?

If so, could u guys give me tips on how to get it?

yeah there r guides for these kind of things, go to ign.com to find it or teamxbox watever, p.s. there is a gta 4 thread just at the top of the page, use it! cuz its gettin locked! w00t w00t! lolLightColor

I agree why try all these tricks and what not to get it? do it the right way. You'll feel better about yourself =)

I didnt find it very hard to be honest.

I did This after i Had beaten the Main story. Took me a few times, But i did it not doing any of these tricks you guys are using. just the way it is supposed to be done.

Grow a pair and get good at the game to get. Don't cheaping it just for the points.

Yeah I just got the achievement last night inadvertently when I was flying in a helicopter and flew over the 3rd island. I was just trying to do the bridge achievement.

The easiest way was to get a boat and go near an island that isnt 'discovered' yet, and that gives you instant six star rating, then (using the rubber dingy on happiness island) just ride around the island for 5 minutes, the cops and helicopters can't keep up with the dingy and you will ahve it in 5 minutes. I didn't even get shot once.

I tried the Algonquin bridge trick - wasn't working for me very well - so I went under it then rather than hanging out onthe steps, I jumped up and ran down the subway tunnel - that worked fine no problem.

Do you have to do the races from Brucie to advance in the game at all? The races are kind of annoying to me - IMO

Havent had a chance to do this, as most stars gotten has been 4 stars from the bank heist.

Good suggestions all.

On foot, actually yes. If you can get out of sight from the choppers and cars, you can crouch down under a bridge or in some dark alley. They won't find you.

This worked for me too^^^^^! And YES I would have gotten it legit if I wanted too. I just don't care enough about the game to spend FOREVER playing it! I finished it. I may go back and play some of the side missions (i.e. races, etc.), but after I finished the story, I put it on the shelf with the other games that I may go back and play ONE DAY. MP is nothing spectacular to me...JMO.

Do what I did... You need playboy x's safehouse unlocked for it though..

Get a 3 star rating outside of the safehouse

then go to the reception desk and get behind that

when cops come in the door keep shooting them until you have a 6 star rating

then go to the apartment where theycant get you and wait there for 5 minutes...

Easy enough

I got this by accident. When I unlocked the second island I went exploring and found the helitours place. I stole a helicopter and started to fly under all the bridges. I flew over the 3rd island and instantly got a 6 star rating, but because all the police are on the ground they cant do anything. So I flew around and under a few more bridges, 5 minutes passed and up popped the achievement.

I got a nice reception party when I landed, but you only have to survive 5 minutes at 6 stars, no escape from 6 stars, so its really fairly easy.

If you want a chopper with a bit more kick, steal the Annihilator, that way you get mini-guns on your chopper :D

This is how I did it...

Go to your safehouse in BOHAN. Make sure you went to the weapons spot for armor and ALOT of pistol/smg bullets. Walk outside, kill alot of cops, but make sure you didn't get hit (3 STARS)... RUN back to your SAFEHOUSE... don't go up the stairs to your room, turn around and hug the wall and Kill all the cops that enter the house by BLIND-FIRING your pistol or SMG. Do this for about 3 mins to get 6 stars... then hold them off for an additional 5 mins for your achievement.

make sure that you haven't unlocked the third island and then just go get a heli and fly into the third island and keep flying around for 5 min.

Go to helitours, steal a helicopter, and fly to the top of alderney. If you havent unlocked aldreney you'll get a 6 star wanted level. just keep holding down the right trigger so you stay at the top of the map and they'll NEVER reach you. The hardest part about it is holding down the right trigger for 5 minutesWatermelon4372

Same here.The police is so dumb it's not a problem to stay alive for even 10 minutes.

If it was easy, it wouldn't be an "achievement", now, would it?
