new bungie teaser trailer finally out what are ur thoughts halo 4?

Well it clearly says Halo 3 at the end, so it's obviously an expansion pack.

The running theory at the Bnet forums is that it's a squad-based ODST game based on the human campaign between the destruction of New Mombasa in Halo 2 and the return of the Chief at the start of Halo 3.

Im going to be very upset if I dont get to play as a Helljumper x( Forget MC and his stupid MJOLNIR armor for a game, let me play as a squad member and have the threat of being killed in a couple shots. Make me think instead of mindlessly running into some area and repeatedly melee.

Although that trailer made me really want to play some Team Swat >_> But Im watching Star Wars xP So it can wait.

No its not Halo 4 because at the end of the teaser trailer it states Halo 3.

Its an expansion pack for Halo 3. Actually Im glad that Bungie is supporting the single player campaign aswell as the downloadable map packs for multiplayer.

Dont get me wrong, Halo 3 is a decent game. The main thing I like is the multiplayer because I thought SP was just dirt but still. Decent game but its not like what they made it out to be, and I wasnt even hyping it that much.

I think it was stated that it is a game not an expansion -> "Described as "a game"--not an expansion--by Mattrick, the project was accompanied by the exact same countdown teaser and exact same reveal time of 7:07 a.m."- from the recent gamespot article. Whatever it is, im looking forward to it.

The description of the "game" on the marketplace says, "deep mystery await players in this new Halo 3 campaign experience". So considering its an experience for a game thats been out for over a year, i think an expansion is a better term than "game".

What are people's gripes about Halo 3 SP campaign. I thought it was solid. Was it just overhyped or do you have specfic exmaples on what you didn't like or wanted/expected?

checkpoint to checkpoint/cutscene gameplay was passable 5 years ago, but not now. See HL2, COD4, Bioshock for examples on how to tell a good story gameplay wise

Try legendary if you want to die in a couple shots. Halo is more about skill rather than camping and who ever shoots first wins. Having to shoot someone more than once or twice makes you rely on your aim and timing, not ducking for cover and waiting for someone to come around the corner so you can surprise them and kill them in 2 shots.

clearly a expansion if its upgraded for single player. i realy don't care for halo 3 anymore, it was to hyped bungie did it wrong ilike halo 2 better then 3.

ok..alot of you seem to think this game is going simply be an add-on to halo 3 and not a brand new title.

people.. althought bungie mentioned halo3 in the teaser..did any of you actual pay any real attention what what was going on? that teaser took place on earth just when truth made a warp in the city of mombosa. an squad based game based on OSDT is very possible.

I think its not so much an expansion but a game that stands on its own, but happens right between the events of Halo 2 and 3 or during Halo 3. Like Halo 2.5 or Halo 3-2. My only problem is that i never played in Halo game besides 3 and im worried that the story here will be too close to Halo 2. Plus i have no idea who Helljumper is or anything. But it should be fun all the same. Also did anyone else notice how when it was flashing the Please Stay Calm screen with all the words one of them was something about "danger flood". It could be a combo of this and the Halo Recon thing to though.

i know wut the last 2 ppl b4 me mean. y do ppl keep thinkin its simply add on. like they said...i think it only displayed halo 3 so u know when the time period was...but only that...doubt its a add on, but simply an entire new game
