I believe by now, everyone enjoyed or disliked our viewing of Microsoft's E3 conference. I would like to know what the people thought. Did it reach your expectations? Was it a tease? Did it totally just fail?
...I'm all ears

I dont hav an Xbox, but i gotta admit, it was REALLY good. Great new games comin out, i like the new Halo look and tht Alan Wake game made me wanna go buy an Xbox, but i cant afford to hav all 3 systems, but anyways, Natal and new MGS game was really neat also.
I totally missed it.. I went to Seaworld for 9 hours yesterday and slept for 13 hours lol. Does anyone know where I can watch the whole E3?
It was not a failure, It went a bit beyond as what I would expect from Microsoft. Looking forward to invest further my money in my xbox 360,way to go microsoft.
supirised at motion cam thing, i thought i was going to be a gimic but now it does look to be almost revolutionary.
Another kick to the teeth in MGS series
Alan Wake creeped me out and that exacally what i wanted,
FF13 running smoothly on 306 so again am getting
FORZA 3 and confirmation of 400 cars. and the the obvious DLC cars.
Halo recon opening thing was preety awesome and i'm now intreged.
I've always wanted to go treach and see how it all started.
Splinter cell was a dissapointment but i wasn't looking at that really.
I though lionhead were going to do more although if they make that boy thing in to a game that will be epic.
two words: project natal. announcement of MGSR quite caught me by surprise though. overall it was a good show. i dunno how nintendo and sonys going to top that.
Where the hell was mass effect!
also i'm intreged at all the new feature including facebook and finaly britain getting movies
Natal, Facebook, and Avatar games they are going straight casual and alienating their hardcore base. As far as exclusives go they barely had any for this year. Half the ones they announced were for Live Arcade so they don't count the others weren't that impressive with the exception of Left 4 Dead 2. This conference was a complete disappointment. I hate casual gamers because they are destroying video gaming as we know it. The Wii opened up the casual gaming market and generated some massive profits and unfortunately for real gamers Microsoft seems to care less abut us and more about this casual market.
I honestly think it couldnt be much better. It was far better than I had expected.vashkeyI looked up a bunch of E3 **** and I agree with this. It was pretty awesome!
Well, there was nothing in it that really got my attention. Of corse the hardware part was great (skateboard/natal), but especial on the second part I'm a bit sceptical as the trailer seemed to be faked (he has his hands on the downside of the board when scanning it, but they weren't ingame) and looking back to the Eye Toy time, I don't think the whole idea will catch my attention long enough. None of the Games cough my attention sadly. All in all it's a fail for me personell, but it doesn't mean the show was.

Well said. I agree with you..
they had Halo and a Metal Gear for the hardcore whats not to be impressed aboutNatal, Facebook, and Avatar games they are going straight casual and alienating their hardcore base. amen brotha' it catered to everyone. great games, Crackdown 2, two new Halo's, Mass Effect 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Shadow Complex, JoyRide, Splinter Cell, Alan Wake, etc etc. then the surprise for Metal Gear Rising, then a surprise with Project Natal, and Project Milo. More deals with Facebook, radio, television. full 1080 P video. etc. etc. etc. c'mon guys. that was pretty damn epic. You have to be downright the most sad person on the earth if you can't call the conference epic

I wasn't expecting much from MS this year. I was expecting the avatar upgrades, and both halo games to be shown, and assumed they would beef up netflix and video stuff. I heard the rumors about Natal, but I was speechless when i saw it in action, and heard all that it is supposidly capable of. I'm very impressed with microsoft's presentation today. I can't wait to see what Nintendo and Sony have comming, but after what MS was showing they really need to bring it.
I was impressed, while i think sony is probably going to win in terms of new IP's ( just by default IMO though ) mostly everything they showed is enough for me .. microsoft could use a new IP but meh it's all good.

Well spoken my friend. I'm glad someone sees the hypocracy in all of this...I'm concerned with exclusive features. Facebook and Twitter don't cut it for me...isn't that what a computer is for? I don't understand...
Project Natal looks interesting. Looks like Microsoft is taking it right to Nintendo. But I personally couldn't care less. If this was standard on every 360, then it would be a BIG DEAL, but it's not. So hardcore users like me, who actually buy lots of games and accessories will probably pass.
Netflix was updated and that's a good thing.
As for games? Obviously the big news of Metal Gear Solid: Rising. Good, glad to see that 360 will get MGS. Something tells me this isn't going to be typical MGS though...will wait and see though. Alan Wake and Splinter Cell Conviction look good though. I could care less about Halo. Call of Duty is king now.
so...
Alan Wake a game that everyody ravess about, and hope is really coming....
Metal Gear Rising
two more Halo games. Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Reach
Crackdown 2
Forza Motorsport 3
Mass Effect 2
Shadow Complex - your 2D fix
JoyRide - a game you can play with your little avatar guy
Left 4 Dead 2
honostly? HONOSTLY! your gonna tell me they were NOT catering to the hardcore? they're trying to cater to everyone. I'm sorry, i consider myself a true gamer, i don't like casual games. I play Gears of War, Forza, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance, Uncharted etc. etc. but even i can be man enough to appreciate services like Netflix, Facebook, Twitter. even Natal, and Project Milo, this could very well revolutionize gaming if Microsoft gives it a strong support. they can make casual happy AND the hardcore happy with Natal.
Frankly i thought it was a great conference, was thoroughly happy with it. it wasn't overly casual gamer based. sorry not every gamer out there is a basement dwelling recluse. some of us like Facebook, and more variety.
In my opinion, and it has been for a long time. that games is evolving and maturing just like movies. were so used to action, epic, sci-fi genre, that the minute we see Fitness, Casual Genre come into play we freak. there will ALWAYS be a place for us.

i think the lionhead thing with the kid was just a demonstration of the potential of the technology they have created rather than previewing a launch titlePlease Log In to post.
