I think Sony is more hyped about Killzone 2 then the fans are.I mean Killzone 1 wasn't so great.But Mass Effect looks great, its by a company with a huge background is awesome "blow you away" games, I think the hype is there.

I don't know how good the game will be, so why should I advocate for something like that. The game sounds great and is from a really good developer yes, but I have nothing to gain in starting alot of hype. If I instead hold back my reservations regarding the game, I won't be so disappointed if it turns out worse then what I would have hyped it to, and if it turns out great I'll get even more blown away by it's awesomeness.
Hype is what happened to Halo2, alot of people complained about that game because it was hyped to much. It's a great game but they were just expecting more I guess.

I dont see how anybody thinks the game is overhyped, its barely been hyped at all. Its like Jade Empire all over again, except this game looks way better than Jade Empire.

look at sony with killzone 2, ppl are actually talking about buying ps3s because of Killzone 2s hype. Killzone 2 doesnt even seem like it will a good game...
Well, the Mass Effect board seems pretty lively. Personally I'm not into western RPGs, so I'm more into Lost Odyssey, and it's disheartening to see such a relatively lifeless board!
From what I have last seen Mass Effect will be out somewhere in November according to this site, Gamespot. I don't think it need's anymore hype, it looks quite promising so far, remember it was ment to be out somewhere in May? Well they extended it so that's promising enough to me in my opinion.
I haven't pre-ordered Mass Effect but I will be getting it when it's out.
I agree that lost Odyssey looks great, but there just isnt much to show yet. I think they are saving it for when they can show it and ppl will say, "this looks final fantasy good".
Had Mass Effect on pre-order since March, even bought the prequel book to get into the game.
Any RPG that comes from Bioware has to be worth the money.
As for all the Killzone 2 hype, if the only FPS you had on your console was RFOM (FEAR being a hideous port) wouldn't you be excited? At best Killzone 2 will just join the ranks of "Dull Repetitive FPS's"
Does anyone know what's in the limited edition version of Mass Effect? I found it relatively cheap on some website (cheap for UK prices anyway), but I haven't actually been able to find out what the difference is.
no it doesnt, cause that way it will exceed all expectations. u dont want too much hype for a game, because then itll never turn out exactly the way u wanted and ull be bound to be disappointed
