Left 4 Dead V.S Gears of War 2

I know another Left 4 Dead forum from me. but i really cant get enough of this game and now im goin to see if i can get people hyped up about it so.... i wanted to compare Left 4 Dead against Gears of War 2. They both have co-op story line missions and Rank/Player matches over xbox live. I was watchin a Video on Left 4 Dead gameplay 4 v.s 4 online, and the creater of the game or whatever was sayin that it would be better then Gears of War 2.

I just cant wait for L4D so im goin have to say L4D ( but i would be playing both of them but i just think L4D im going to have alot more fun with that game)

What do you all think?

On 360? Gears of War 2 will be far more popular - no doubt

Left4Dead will release with more of a zombie shuffle to the stampede of sales that Gears2 will generate.

L4D will sell a lot of copies on PC, since that is the main system for it. Valve make PC games and offer great support to the PC community, not just through patches and updates, but also by giving the community the tools to create their own levels and mods. On 360 Valve have a far worse track record. Despite making one of the highest rated 360 titles (Metacriticed higher than GoW, Halo 3 and COD4), Valve's support for console customers after launch has been non-existent.

If you get L4D then don't buy the second rate console version, get it on PC

Gears of War 2 definately will get and will probaly be better. Although Left 4 Dead does look interesting enough to try out.mrgab

Left 4 Dead will be a better game but Gears will sell more. I'm going with L4D.73X

L4D looks to be a fun game, but a low quality type of game. As in there will be bugs, weapons will be unbalanced, graphical glitches, etc. It just looks like that type of game. After all, it is made by an amateur developing companykrp008

I'm getting both but I'm gonna have to go with Gears 2 for the replayability online. So many different modes and no more host advantage, I can't wait.

overhyped game thats only good for the campaign.

L4D all the way. Gears is just not that fun to me, ive been there and done that before.

I know Gears of War 2 is going to be awsome.

But Left 4 Dead is a new game series, and it looks amazing.

your wasting you breath may this guy is obviously a nub to quality!! especially since he didn't know that it was from a company that is owned by Valve that creaters of the Half life series!! (most of you knew that krp008 obviously didn't.)

How can you ask that question? Ive been hyping the hell out of each, and I am getting both first day, reviews or not.

I like the concept of Left 4 Dead(I love zombies), but it's toooooooo early to say it's going to be hot. There have been ALOT and I mean ALOT of games that got alot of HYPE, looked unbelieveable in their gameplay videos, only to come out to get POOR ratings and really suck(Army of Two, Assassin's Creed[I did not like it], Kane & Lynch, Mercs 2, Force Unleashed)...

With Gears of War 2, I know the gameplay already and it's going to be an update of the original. I loved the first one, want to know more about the story, and just started playing the online again(which is awesome if you play socially[NOT RANKED, those guys are BEASTS] with friend).... So with all that said, I'm going to stick with Gears of War 2

Unless Left 4 Dead has a KILLER Demo or Great Reviews, I doubt I'll get it...

what is wrong with u comparing l4d to GOW2 is like comparing playing with a stick to six flags.

Id still go for GeoW 2.

But, if they were to have that annoying vehicle, Kryll stage(or anything like it).......
