No we dont pay for that, we pay for updates and online play. Downloading is completly free (silver membership) You should be posting this in system wars. You can get banned for posting this here by gs.
THE DEMO JUST CAME OUT, plus millions of people are downloading it at the same time, give it a day and it will be much faster, btw i dont see the demo for the pc anywhere, its only on 360... thats why xbox live is the best...

When you get unusual amounts of traffic, you will get unusual results.
XBL for the most part is very stable. Its rarely down for maintenance, downloads are quick when not at a peak time like this, and its a very streamlined unified service. Thats what you're paying for.
Every single service has hiccups. You can't tell me your internet or your power at home has never gone down. What do you do when that happens? You deal with it. Does it make the service poor as a result? Not if it isn't a common occurence, which this is not.
I have a 360 and a PS3 and whenever there is a really hot demo that alot of people are downloading it is slow and what else can you expect when that many people are trying to download the same thing. Heavenly sword took me forever to download just like when GRAW 2 demo first came out on the 360 so just be happy that we are getting cool downloads because last generation there were no demo downloads at all.Â
