Some shows are free on the Zune service. I know I have an episode of Monk and Psyche and then a bunch of Nicktoons episodes that were free

Overall though you need to pay for what you watch on Zune

With Netflix you need to be a member of Netflix and then you can stream watch instantly movies to your 360. I have the one disc out at a time with unlimited streaming and I think before I added the BluRay option is was 8.99?

netflix is $10 a month and the movies and shows on zune are usually at least 800 points each.

They are not 800 points. They are 320 points for standard resolution and 540 points for HD.

Yep, and for TV shows it's actually 240 for SD and 460 for HD. I've bought a TON of TV shows and I've rented a ton of movies too.

What's funny is that having those videos on youtube is often illegal and they're pulled off of the site because of that. The quality is not near the same either. I've bought like 1 or 2 and probably wouldn't buy anymore, but the music videos on XBOX are much better quality than going to youtube.

For the most part, you'll have to pay extra for whatever you wanna watch. Gold only opens the door for you to buy more stuff and then buy more stuff on top of that.

For one episode?!?!? Wow, if that is true, that is the biggest rip off of all time. I have a 360 but never bothered with that crap.

Gold doesn't really open much of the content, most of it is still pay to view. You can watch The Guild for free though.

I might have been getting ripped off without even realizing it...
