usually when the top of the xbox starts to get hot, take a break for a while. i would also recommend buying an intercooler, it realy keeps the heat down.

2 red lights on the Ring of Light is the "official" way your console tells you it's overheating.

DO NOT BUY A INTERCOOLER it screws your system up even more. Ive never had a problem with it overheating. but yea i heard the 2 red light thing too means its overheating, but dont worry about it, ive heard people who leave it on overnight if there dl something and its been fine, just keep it well ventilated in an open area and you should be fine, ive had mine own for up to 6 hours straight maybe more and its been fine.

Oh ****!!! What happened, did someone sit it on a hot plate? I know 360's get hot, but not that damn hot. All I have to say is touch the top, and if it feels warm to the touch, take a break. As far as intercoolers go, there is no point in using something thats just gonna use the same power supply to suck the air out and make it work harder.
