I want Kinect but I'm a little worried that I don't have enough space in my bedroom for it to see me entirely (which is where my 360 is). About how far away do you need to be in order to fit your whole body in the frame? Before you ask, I'm 5'11" 192lbs, athletic build.

It says to stand back 6 feet from the kinect. I have it in my living room and run into stuff alot even though I have it all moved to the side. The more the better.

As much room as possible. The higher you mount the Kinect, the better too, that will shorten the distance a little bit. I have to mount my Kinect 2 feet off the floor, so it has to see farther out, all the way to 8 feet. But i did a experiment and temporarily mounted it above my tv, about 5 ft, and it shortened the distance to about 6 feet.

yeah 2 meters is about right. 1/2 meters is all you really need but in order to play multiplayer its 2 meters. i have to move the couch to the side every time i play.

we had to rearrange our living room. now when we want to play we just scoot the couch back. it requires quite a bit of room. We usually have about 9 ft and 15 feed on our sides.

8 feet by 8 feet for two player, but that's really pushing it. I'd recomend 8 feet wide by 9-10 feet back if you can swing it.
