Hi i know there a few threads on this already but nothing seems relevant to my exact problem, i have just bought a 1080p sony lcd and hooked up my old style xbox that has a hdmi port to it but it wont display in 1080p for some reason (when im on the menu screen on xbox dashboard) is this normal and will it go to 1080p when i start game or is it not capable of 1080p at all?

Cheers

Well I don't have a 360 (so I don't know how you'd go about doing it), but perhaps you may need to reset your video settings on your 360 (like how it is w/ the PS3 if you're changing tvs or whatnot). Or maybe a firmware update (for the 360, that is)?
