I really want to get back in to Halo, but I never got a chance to play it on live for the Xbox.  (due to the xbox wasn't near my router.)   Now I have a 360 with a wireless connection, so figure I give it a try.   Any 360 games work fine, when I start Halo 2 up .. pick a profile, then I pick my live profile . . . .it will not connect.  It gives me the option to trouble shoot(which brings me to the 360 TS and everything works fine), or to cancel.

So anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix it?

Try this http://forums.xbox.com/3902075/ShowPost.aspx , also you can try deleting all of your data for halo 2, repatch and redownload the maps.

I deleted my game and all.  Havn't tried clearing the catch yet tho.  Also thanks for that link, I'm giving it a look through.  Also right now I just can't get connected to live at all with the game.  Most help threads I've looked through, they already are connected .. just havn't issues with downloads and such.

I think you need to change some of your family settings to allow you to be able to play original xbox games on xbox live. The family settings are on the setup blade on the dashboard.

Yes I do plan to call xbox, but normaly they will just tell me what they have on their self help stuff . .and I already been through all of that.  Also I did go through my settings as well.  Everything is Accepted, enabled, and unlocked.  I heard some say there is Xbox games tab right when you go in to family settings, tho I only have Console settings and Xboxlive.  I also do not have a child account.

Thanks again tho for the replies.

Tried that, everything in family settings is unlocked/allowed.  Still having issues.  I tried emailing microsoft about that . . .. . and they sent me an email about my wireless adapter.  So something got lost in translation there.
