Gears 1 or 2, which one is better online?

Hey all,

I hope I dont get in trouble for asking this question but here I go,

I got both gears 1 and 2 but I never got into them THAT much like so many other people did, also I never really tried the online features so I was wondering, what is your personal favorite and which one would you prefer? Gears 1 or 2? Please vote and if you want, state your reasons of your choice and please state what mode you like the most, that would be so helpfull for me since I will try them out.

The reason of me posting this is because im trying hard to get into the game again, especially for gears 3 and find out the best multiplayer experience since I dont have many friends to play with online. (Yea im a loner on live lol, but I used to have so much fun on the originial live and had hundrets of friends)

Gears of war 1. Gears 2 takes no skill anymore, it's a bunch of people camping with lancers. Wall bouncing and one-shoting people in gears 1 is great.

Sure they took 1-shot down with sniper out in Gears 2, but it is to easy to get actives in the first place(do they think we are 5?) Best moment ever of gears 1 is being the last person on the team alive and the other team has all their guys. It's not a "oh, I lost" moment, it's a "Let's kick some ass!" moment.

All of the "hardcore" Gears fan's went back to Gears 1. Gears 2 is to noob-friendly, and feels to sluggish.

I love execution, but Gears 2 had that Guardian which was pretty cool.(Well, as cool as it could get with nades tagged on walls every time you try to run somewhere.) Frag-tagging walls sounded like a cool tactic, but people always put them in the same spot and you know if you go there your dead, and if you don't it will most likely end in a draw.

Gears of War was better, but now the community is dead.

Everyone quits before the 3rd round, it's so stupid. Good luck trying to finish a game..

Gears 2

there is a level in intensity that is in the original that isn't in the second and that is through on and offline as well every mode. The 2nd is too easy.

I never played Gears of War's multiplayer but I have had a lot of fun with Gears of War 2's horde mode.

Gears of War 2 > Gears of War. Gears of War was just a broken, and unballanced mess of an online game. Granted so was Gears of War 2 when it launched but a good portion of it has been fixed, however some hasn't. *coughbulletlagimlookingatyoucough*

Well, Gears1 is one of my most played multiplayer and I loved it due to its intensity, but I hated ho none of my stats could be updated since everyone quit all the time. It was difficult to just finish a match. This is where Gears 2 comes in.

Both are great. Gears of War 2's gameplay is a little more loose that Gears of War 1. You'll know what I mean if you've played both. There are still plenty of players online though on both games.

geras 2 had a lot more modes and my favorite was horde mode. but any of the other modes i didn't like because it was so laggy most of the time.

I used to play Gears 2 multiplayer all the time, but eventually the lag and waiting in the lobby for games to load got to me. So now I only play Horde.

Also I don't see how you can dislike a game for being "To noob friendly" as isn't everyone a noob to begin with?

They screwed up Assassination.

It was good but since it required teamwork nobody played it. They release Guardian where it's infinite spawns until your leader dies and now everyone loves it, because they get to whore points instead of actually playing for the win.

Submission is alright, the only gametype I liked playing because CTF (and stupid variants like Submission) is my favorite gametype in any game.

King of the hill sucks, and Annex got worse with the addition of nuclear bombs (or as they're called in this game "frag grenades")

The maps are most definitely not better either, and neither are some gameplay changes.

Well, looks like both games are pretty popular, I will go with gears 2 first though. I read that the games can be laggy? Is it as bad as the multiplayer from Bioshock 2? As for the laggy part that is, I love bioshock 2 multiplayer but its so damn laggy all the time I cant even get a clear shot. If it is, then I dont think ill try it for very long. Is there a xbox live multiplayer shooter *except halo or cod or battlefield* that are great online with no lag? That would be great.

neither, there multiplayers were both broken and buggy and the community is full of MLG Pros that anyone new would get there ass kicked. but gears of war 2 had horde mode so it better than 1.

But for me, it's Gears of War (original) all the way.
