for those who are fans of Shadowrun and bought it already, are you worried about the game's future in terms of the DLC that may or may not come for the game.  the FASA studios is being dissasembled, and IMO (and i think its an opinion that is shared commonly throughout gamers) the amount of content that the game ships with might not be worth the $60 in the long run.  the $60 price tag might be worth it if future DLC was on the way (even if it was priced and not free), but as ai said, FASA is no more.

so do you think MS will have another dev team make the DLC ... or do you think that no DLC will ever be made?  or do you think that the game does not need DLC in the first place (as in, Shadowrun already has enough maps and game modes)?

FASA is not officially closing.  That was a rumor started by a disgruntled employee.  You have to understand that there is no "physical" FASA to close anyway (or "disassemble").  FASA is a team of developers at Microsoft - in fact many of them are also developers for Bungie.  The same employees will still be employed and work on other projects - then if they decide to do another Shadowrun game (hopefully and RPG) the team will be brought back together under the FASA name and work on it.  It's all done at MS though as FASA is not an independant developer - it's a name MS bought when they got the rights for Shadowrun from the old FASA which was a company who did the pen and paper RPG - now it's a "virtual" studio as it's just been integrated into MS.

They have said in interviews that there are definitely additional maps that will be availabel for DLC - developed by the core team that did the game...

When they'll be released and for how much?  Who knows right now.  :)
