Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition Worth It?

So, I am in a dilemma on whether or not I should get the Ultimate Edition for FH3. I am also going to be getting BF1 and possibly Titanfall 2 the month after. Is it worth the extra $40 for a car pass and getting it 4 days early? I can't decide...what are you guys doing?

I consider it a luxury purchase, if you have extra money to spare go for it. For me its worth it I love Horizon and anything with the stamp "Forza Horizon", I'm buying it, simple as that.

It's really up to you and how much those things mean for you...the extra money you could use towards another game, so it's a decision to make.

As I absolutely love the Forza Horizon games I'm for sure springing for the physical Ultimate Edition (gotta have that steelbook) because I know I will play FH3 for loads of hours making it worth it in my case.

Whoa on a side note you reminded me of the early access thing, totally forgot about that the only date I had for this game was Sept 27th, not sure I would have remembered it without seeing this post.....no need to take the Wednesday off work, I'll have the weekend now sweet !!

Yeah the thing is they've had this season pass thing for the last few Forza titles, but the early access thing only started with Forza 6 I think.

I can't say I was ever disappointed with the season passes, I like trying out different cars and a lot of times they have some cool ones in the monthly DLC packs. It's cool getting a bunch of new cars every month. I'm sure the core package will have more than enough, so if you're on the fence you could get standard and get the pass later.

For someone like me, who is going to play the sh** out of this game, then I'd say it's probably worth it.

I ended up going with the regular edition. The base game already comes with like 300+ cars, so an extra 40 or so in the $40 DLC isn't really worth it for me. Excited for the game regardless!

If you got the coin and love the Forza Horizon Series then its a no brainer. Im going with the standard edition, the base game is enough for me.

Related, watched the opening 12 min from pax event and game looks stunning. I want to know what convoy mode is and if they'll have more modes like infected/king of the hill.

Dunno if it's worth it as I don't know all that comes with the ultimate version, but I won't be paying more to play it 4 days earlier, I can wait.

Personally I feel like getting the Ultimate Edition is worth it because well since cars is the main idea of the game and they do release an infinite amount of DLCs getting the Ultimate Edition isn't such a bad idea. I mean yeah its $40 more but you do get not only early access but the All-Stars Car Pack, the Forza Horizon 2 Rockstar Energy Car Pack, the Forza Motorsport 6 Meguiar's car pack and a VIP Membership which gives you yet another car pack and several various discounts. I've already pre ordered mine and I really don't feel like I will regret it.

It's a racing game - of course it's not worth it...

How's the demo?I downloaded it this morning,but haven't had any time yet to put into it.

I didn't play it. I know I want it and want to be surprised when I actually get it. Usually only play demos for games I'm on the fence about.

@jshah500: yeah same here didn't download the demo because I want that initial feeling of playing the new game fresh, don't want to spoil the experience. I spoiled the beginning of Horizon 2 because I enjoyed the demo and replayed it several times, so when the game came out it was like " oh yeah this part I already did numerous times in the demo" lol
