Finding Friends on SSFIV

Is there any way to find my people from my friends list on SSFIV? I'm really getting sick of setting up matches, and asking my freind to search same region quick matches to find me each time I want a friendly fight. There doesn't seem to be a "send request" option on this game.

You can create a lobby and assign a slot for "private," then invite your friend. :)

I had the same problem... I think you can't invite unless you first create the private slot. anyway, have fun! :)
