I'm not a massive fan of fighting games, but I have a special place in my heart for them. I usually buy one for each console generation. Now that Street fighter, Soul Caliber and Tekken have released something for the PC I'm tempted to pick one up. I'm thinking street fighter, I have tekken DR for the PSP and Soul Caliber looks Meh. Any reason I should not buy street fighter 4?

I concur, but I prefer Soul Calibur over all.

Street Fighter 4 is REALLY good. I picked it up in January having not played a Street Fighter game since Alpha 2 and Street Fighter 4 is still the game I play most on Xbox Live. If you do decide to get Street Fighter 4 id wait until January-February as Super Street Fighter 4 is due out. Its apperntly gonna be a knock down price with 8 new characters and maybe some improved game modes.

Im not really a fan of Tekken or Soul Calibur so Im not sure about those.

Well Street Fighter 4 is more like classic 2D fighting, for me i prefer the guilty gear series or blazblue. i play street fighter 4 to get back to those days.

no reason for you to not buy Street Fighter 4, its something that lasts for generations to relate to no matter what age.

a kid around the block who favours Ken's Shouryukens can get whooped by a grandpa who happens to be pro E Honda user, heh it happens

I wouldnt get tekken over SF4 even if it cost half the price, but thats just me.

I also own DOA4 witch is pretty fun but has a steep learning curve.

And SC4 witch is kinda button mashy, once i learned the basics i was pretty much whooping ass online something you cant do in DOA4 or SF4.

Well i would say get SF4 if you wanna keep it simple. i have SF4 and Tekken 6 and i love both but ive always been a huge Tekken fan and imo Tekken takes alot more time and skill to master than SF4.
