Hey, just a quick question before I buy an Xbox One. Do you need Xbox Live Silver (I dunno if they still call it this, it might be just called Free) to download free things, like demos and FTP games? How about installing games to the console or using codes for things? Thank you so much, have an awesome day!

for me its always about the game, never about the price.

its highly likely they will not have the games I am interested in

lol..

that question speaks volumes!

Xbox does not have games I care about so no amount of cheaper price will make a difference to me.

I dont suddenly like a game because the price is cheap

@unitedhairlines: Xbox is like the modern Pavlov bell.

Anyway, you can play demos without gold. You need gold just for online gaming, extra discounts and free games.

@tryit: Ahhh, I gotcha. I agree completely, I was just asking if you NEED Xbox Live Free to download things off of the marketplace and use codes for games, or if you can just use an offline account? Speaking of, is there such a thing as an offline account like on 360, or are all profiles Live? Thanks :)
