As i played thru Call of Duty 4, it kinda creeped me out. Not because this game's actually scary or anything, it's because it's so real, and the events in CoD4 are just like what's happening now. No other games have affected me like this one, but this game really hit me in a spot where i've never been hit before. Did you get this kind of feeling while playing it, too?

Do you ever have any relative in Iraq right now or something that is involve with the Iraq war? Because if you do then maybe thats the reason why you feel a little uneasy about COD4.

I thought the small level after the bomb went off was genius. Really shows you the effects of something like that.

i totally know what you mean. it was the most of an "emotional" connection as i have ever had to a game, it really made you feel empathetic to the characters imo. i agree with legendaryscmt as well, the small amount of time after the nuke was amazing. i felt really connected to the game, very personal.

No. Because I have no connections or know anyone in the war. But I can imagine how people can think that way.

doesnt really make it feel anything like a real war

This broke my heart. Playing as a dying U.S. Marine in his last few minutes was jarring to me. My heart suddenly ached for all those (real) soldiers in the Middle East. So I guess I can relate to the original poster.

Welcome to the first taste of reality in war itself. What has been censored and hidden from civilians how much worse it is in modern warfare such as the Iraq war.

the drama and that was right, the nuke level was great, but if you actually had his own background story, and saw him it might of been a bit more emotional, but the end was alittle emotional because the person you know kinda well you know guys.

Iraq War Is A Total Disgrace .A Two Million Iraqi Citizens were Killed Or Raped At Least .No Honor At All.I Just Hate When Games Try To Show the HERO-IZM Of The Troops. I Can understand you because thats what happened to me the game is so realistic and **for me ** killing poor innocent peoples because of their believes and religion has nothing funny to do with me .

GOD DAMN WAR ON IRAQ AND PEOPLE BEHIND THIS WAR AND WHO COURAGE THIS WAR.

GOD WON'T FORGIVE US FOR WHAT WE HAVE DONE

sykalob

lol woah ****... $10 he's the next person to assassinate a US president.

I'll join you on that bet I think. but honestly, for me, the only leve that actually had any meaning for me was the nuke level, and that was kinda ruined by my 13 year-old brother going 'what's the point in this level' over my shoulder

No, I don't feel any emotion from CoD 4. If that made you emotional, then it's obvious that you've NEVER played Lost Odyssey or FF VII back in the day.

Only thing it gave me was a new crazy attention to detail when i'm online. I look for even the hint of movment. I can't even tell you how many times i've had my scope on a rock only to realize it was a leaf i saw go behind it.

I don't have a problem other than the fact that CoD 4 is a WAY over-rated game (come on, it's a really standard FPS just with shiny graphics) and that now its getting more attention/credit because it's emotional even though games that are ACTUALLY emotional are just flying under the radar and don't even get an honourable mention.
