Diablo 3 to Xbox 360 has a ring to it don't you think???

Blizzard is hiring a Console designer for Diablo 3 and they said they are exploring all options. So from the sounds of it we will be seeing diablo 3 going to the console systems. I think it will be EPIC. What do you guys think about playing Diablo 3 on Xbox360???

ive never played a diablo game but would love to see what all the rage is about.

Why? I think it would be to good to be true to play this on live. It would be PVP hell.

If it like the first two then it would not matter if it was on the Xbox 360 since it just a beat many enemies and move on.

Never touched a Diablo game in my life but I guess if the next one heads to the 360, I'll give it a look.

The first Diablo was released on the PS1. It didn't do well. Diablo III will not come to consoles I can guarantee you that. The controls wouldn't work.Da_lil_PimP

"The controls wouldn't work" is hardly an excuse for why a game wouldn't come to consoles. It's not even valid. The consoles would be smoother, allowing you to control your character with the sticks as opposed to clicking with a mouse. And then you have the plethora of buttons that can be used as hotbars, or even introduce a radial hotbar system much like Mass Effect does. I see no reason why the controls would be worse than the PC version. There's only room for improvement.

Secondly, this is 2010. Releasing D3 on the 360 and PS3 opens up an entirely new market. A market where people don't own gaming PCs. This is a no-brainer, Diablo 3 will come to consoles.

But we can always bet on it if you want. :)

That was my thought maybe he can't play them on the pc and would like them for the console. I don't think I will be able to play diablo 3 on my laptop.

I Would love to see it on console, would work prefectly. I like when i control movement of character and not just click to say "go here".

I think it would be great. Im excited about Diablo 3, but i no longer do any PC gaming since i sold off my gaming rig. So this will be just what i need.

This game is only a PC game consoles would ruin all the fun , i love my console but some games just dont belong this being one of them .

I don't think it would work well being point & click and all. Then again, if they managed to make a viable control system I would consider buying the xbox version over the pc one

I normally would not bother with what you say but i got to correct you.

How can you not get the controls? can you type? if W is up and S is down how hard is that to figure out. Also the controller has limited buttons to press compared to all the buttons on a keyboard. Its also a proven fact that a mouse and keyboard is superior to a controller.

Also how do the graphics on pc suck? do you have a dell from the early 90s? If you played on a real gaming pc you would see that the 360 and PS3 can easily be outclassed in terms of graphics and frame rate.

Also this Battle Dex, what is this? It doesn't compare to anything and looks low end and very simple, but maybe its what you like.

Actually sounds pretty intriguing. I have been playing Sacred 2, which is a Diablo rip off and to be honest it controls pretty good. I am actually addicted to it right now and will definitely purchase Diablo 3 if it comes to the XBOX. This is because right now, i adont have the finances to buy a new/upgrade old PC. Just for the protocol, i have never played a Diablo game, but most of my friends have so have heard nothing but good things about it.

Why wouldn't a hack and slash game not be able to be ported to the 360? I'd take analog controls over a mouse any day of the week. Its not like they haven't done it already with Diablo, now not with great success but I think its very viable expectally with online gaming taking off this Gen. Blizzard has already stated out of all there games Diablo would be the game to go to consoles because there are games that have been trying to copy it for years.

I would reserve it and buy day one if we could be assured the control scheme would work. How sweet would that be!? There would be a lot more people to play with to.

I mean lets face it pc games are awesome but the same problem exists today as it always has with pc games. The almost constant cost of upgrades to play the latest games. Thats why WoW did as well as it did, because it could be played on a basic/simple home PC. You didn't need a custom gaming rig to play it decently. Don't get me wrong rigs are awesome and mine lasted about 2-3 good years but if you were developing a game and were told "yea theres about 15-20% (hypothetical but roughly estimated number) of the gaming public that will be able to purchase and play this game effectively if you release it on pcs," OR "about 50-65% of the gaming public would be interested and willing to buy if you could effectively adapt it to consoles" - which development path would you choose?

Long live PCs. But I hope they release the best titles for it for consoles too if possible.

I totally agree with you. As you know Diablo 1 was also released for the PS1. I played that to death on both PC and PS1 and both played nearly the same or at least i thought they did. Even if it does get released on 360 it will be a lot like Dragon Age in how the pc version was superior to the fact that the controller ran out of buttons. Since the controller cannot handle the buttons required to have a bar of skills it will be limited to having only 2-4 skills out at a time.
