If you could buy only one of these and based on the prices, which would you get?

Core-$300,cord to TV, plug

Premium-$400, 20 GB Hardrive, HD cords, Xbox Live cable,Live Gold 1-month pass, cord to TV, silver slide plate, plug

Elite-$480, 120 GB Hardrive, HDMI, HD cords, Xbox Live cable, Live Gold 1-month pass, cord to TV, silver slide plate, Black console, black headset, black controller, plug.

To me, the Elite is the one I choose.

Depends on the persons preference, or needs. Me personally I think the Xbox 360 Elite is the best offer-- I still have my Premium, but my Elite just went out on me and is being sent into repair.

I have 2. Premium and elite. The premium is great. The Elite is the exact same thing with more space to save. If your looking for the best connection For the best video, The VGA is just as pretty as the HDMI. My premium and Elite have the same look graphically. The only difference is VGA better suite's a specific resolution, so it has cleaner lines and absolutely no jaggie's. HDMI looks crisper but with a small amount of jaggies. ( on some games)

If I didn't have the Premium, I'd get the Elite.
I think they should eliminate the Core and drop the price $50-100 on the Premium.

Elite - hands down if you can find one. :)

I've owned 4 Premiums and now the Elite - the Elite is the cream of the crop for sure. If you have the money - get the Elite. :)

Sure I would...If I had the money for an HDTV as well. Then again I'm not too tech savvy so I'll stick with the Core or the Premium depending If I can decide If I want Xbox Live or not.

If I had an HDTV yet, then I'd go for the Elite. But currently, then the Premium is just fine.

I'm a Hard Drive space whore... So when I heard that Microsoft was coming out with an Xbox 360 that came stock with a 120 gigabyte HDD AND was black with HDMI Cables... I jumped at the chance to get one... That and the fact that my current 360 was dead. It also helped that my current 360 was purchased at Costco! Where you could probably return a Coffin.

Honestly it's up to you. If you want the extra space and the black finish then the extra 80 dollars will be worth it for you. But also look at it like this... A premium is 400 dollars... now if you want to upgrade to 120 gigabytes later down the road... then you're going to have to pay 180 dollars for that extra 120 Gigabytes. Now... if you get the Elite now... you will save 100 dollars down the road.

EXACTLY!!!

Not to mention the HDMI capability for pretty much any future HDTV he gets - but also an included $50 HDMI cable for free.

Premium is fine for me. I don't expect to be buying a whole lot of games when they are that expensive. However I'll be the first to run down to the store and pick up Mass Effect ;)

Since I'm planning on getting an xbox 360 I'm still deciding whether or not i should get the Core and slowly upgrade it with hard drive and Xbox Live or I get the Premium with the upgrade on it. I think my biggest question is what is the hard drive for and how do I use Xbox Live? Do I need wireless internet access for it?

Just a random thing when refering to Xbox should it be said "an Xbox" or "a Xbox"

If I didn't already have a 360, the Elite is the one I'd choose.

The Premium is still more than fine, though I'd wish that Microsoft would simply phase out the existing core, make the premium the new Core unit and the Elite the new Premium unit or something.

However, if Best Buy allows me to upgrade and pay the difference, I may see a 360 Elite in my future. :)

Elite=TOO EXPENSIVE!!!!!

I think the Elite should be for people who have played Xbox for quite a while and have the money. Premium and Core could be for beginning Xbox players?

Can anyone answer my question on how to use Xbox Live?

How is it Too expensive? Please enlighten me.

Also... it's marketed TOWARDS new adopters. Microsoft said "We intended this to appeal to people who do not yet own a 360 or the people that are willing to pay for a second 360" *paraphrasing ofcourse*

As far as Xbox Live goes. You have to have a Broadband Connection. The Premium and the Elite are the only two consoles with an Ethernet Cable Port (as far as I knwo don't quote me.) .. Now... You also have to pay 8 bucks a month to play or just get a 50 dollar 1 year card an get it over with in one fell swoop. you can get wireless but that's 100 bucks, or 82 if you get it on Amazon.com. I personally got the Wireless Adapter because.. I'm a whore like that.

They all have Ethernet ports. None come standard with the wireless adapter, which is a separate accessory, which is still $100 new.

Also, last I checked, XBL prepaid cards for 12+1 months of service are $40 each, so you'd actually come out ahead if you did the pre-paid card way.

$50 @ Wal-Mart? Don't think so.

Not in EBGames either

Where the hell are you finding them for $50? Hell, I'd buy it for that price... :? but not $100.
