I just finally bought my first XBOX and it came with a wireless controller. Just wondering what is the best method for keeping it charged? Charging dock or plug n play cord?

i charge my batteries separately from the controller and it's still energized even it's 3 months old already despite at least 7 hours per day of gaming

I have a plug and play which works really well you can charge as you play if you just cant stop or you can plug at night and it just takes like twenty minutes for alot of playtime [well worth $20].

Just get the plug and play kit, the $20 practically pays for itself in convential batteries a hundred times over.

Ok I think I've decided to get the plug n play charger kit. I've seen some third party ones cheaper than the official Microsoft ones. Does any have an recommendations of which ones are good to use and that are worthless (stay away from)?

I'd say Plug and Play, simply because you don't haveto stop playing if your Controller dies.

get the plug and play, the controller lasts a while and if you don't want to use a cord while gaming, you can always charge it while the consoles off. as for which one to get, just get the official microsoft one, just to be safe. it's not that expensive anyway.

Plug-n-Play is the one I use and it is well worth the investment!

Turning the rumble down (or off) will make the charge last longer.

Definitely go with the official plug-n-play, worth the $20.

I hate wires so I got the quick charge kit with two battery packs. Once the green lights start flashing on my controller, I switch them out. This only takes a second between multiplayer matches.

I've got the Nyko base charger. It was around 20 dollars and came with two rechargable batteries. I keep one charging while I game with the other and when I'm done, I just swap the batteries so that I always have one charged. No wires running to the xbox, just a base plugged into the outlet. It's awesome.
