Battlefield = Counter-Strike = Disappointment

Counter-Strike Source is awesome.

Battlefield: Bad Company is an infuriating, jumble of bad bullet physics.

I hated Battlefield Bad COmpany for about a month, then i started to enjoy it, just takes a little getting use to.

Its very team based oriented, loving the game personally!

Thats funny last time i checked (just now) there were hundreds upon huindreds of servers for CS 1.6 not even source.

And maybe you have a sucky tv becuase battlefield looks awesome on mine.

true that and + man css is amazing ive played that game for over a year now and its still my favorite game probably or atleast one of my favorite games, and i do agree pc battlefields were better, they shouldve come out with a pc version of this, with all the old battlefield interfaces and the upgrades like in 2142 those were cool

OK, OK... The CS vs. BFBC might be a bad analogy, my bad. And, I am not dishing CS what-so-ever. CS had its time and to be perfectly honest, CS influenced and revolutionized the multiplayer gameplay....just like BF1942 through the present. However, the feel of this newly released BF lost its vibe. Maybe because I am familiar with BF on the PC. Knowing how powerful the 360 is, I assumed the gameplay shouldn't be altered from the PC experience. Looks like I am wrong, because this game is just blah. Hence, my comparison to CS now and BFBC. Again, probably the wrong analogy, but, I am speaking my mind and I wanted to read some reactions to see if I am off track or not.

And I am just scratching my head in regards to the editors reviews and the player reviews, I just don't get the rating, knowing how there is no WOW factor. And yes, I do agree the game does grow on you and yes, I do agree COD4 has a different gameplay concept all together. But, I did pop in COD4 last night, and I do agree with the COD4 ratings. Furthermore, I heard the next release of COD will be similar in gameplay like BF. It will be interesting to see if COD can maintain the same WOW factor with a BF gameplay.

ust to make things clear, I am total BF nut and fan and I have every release on the PC. Maybe thats why I am kinda disappointed, I expected more from DICE.

On a side note, I do wish DICE re-release BF1942 on the 360. I bet they can improve on the PC version and they can learn from it as well.

In conclusion, I like to reiterate, this is just my opinion, but DICE/EA's experience with BF over the years should've made BFBC a better gaming experience with the 360. Jets more powerful? Large maps? hmmmmm...... They done it and worked out the kinks with the older releases, why is it an issue? Food for thought....

This game is NOTHING like Counter-Strike. What is wrong with you?

I agree that in many respects BF:BC has taken a few steps backwards when compared to the other Battlefield games. Likewise it has taken a few steps forward in terms of destructible environments and a better (although still not great) single player story.

The same happened with GTA4, there are many things which I enjoyed in San Andreas such as Planes, Jet Packs, Casinos, etc that didn't make it into GTA4. Yet big improvements were made in other areas such as graphics and story quality.

I think companies purposely don't make a game as good as it can be so that they can include the added quality/features in future releases and make more money. If they made a game as good as it could be from the start, there would be no reason to purchase the next version. Imao.

I see what you're saying you mean the arming the charges to blow up parts of the map but not really counter strike if you think about it, if you're that die hard of a bf fan you should no its place is on the pc, bad company is what i call a sell out beta for the pc version because when its on pc it will have all the toys massively humongous maps. So yea fair enough what you say dude it is a bit of a disapointment, but there is a very good game in there just not they one you were expecting.

CS 1.6 is where it is at! Still play that game.

I like to argue your point. I think we have a healthy discussion and I hope, but I really doubt it, somebody can read this as constructive criticism, rather than, a direct negative poke.

The reason I mention this is because, I wrote a small review within the BFBC USER RATING on Gamespot. I didn't say anything different, and I rankned it a 6...........but, my message got deleted and I was warned via Gamespot email.

As a result, I have noticed quite a few reviews saying this game is a Masterpiece, Perfect, and etc. . .

Just very odd that I was censored.

Counter Strike is an awesome game. Source is good too.

But I see no relation between that and Battlefield BC

and Battlefield is an awesome game too.

BF:BC graphics are amazing. I don't know what you are looking at...

I know its a long thread, but, you need to read before you write.

This game (at least multiplayer) is very team oriented. Also, the destuctability allows for a very different kind of gameplay, since you can't hide behind walls.

It isn't the best game ever, but it's entertaining. And not like Counter Strike.

I like Battlefield in both Singleplayer and Multiplayer and it isnt trying to be like Counterstrike so stop complaining just to get attention

CSS is a million times better than BF:BC. CSS plays nothing, NOTHING like BF:BC.chaoz-king

Fan boys comparing them, They go hand in hand quite simply both master pieces. Bad company is getting some bs slack, bad company deserves a very solid 9, not because cod4 got a 9 i think cod4 deserves a 10, if bad company was bf3 with all the jets id give it a 10, so saying source is a million times better lmao is some what biased, no seriously it is.
