Both of my Black Xbox360 controllers have a load of white dust coming out of the joysticks. I know this is probably from friction with the joysticks but I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem

Nope, cant say I have. If they are brand new controllers, they may need to get worn down a bit

Yeah I figured it was just the metal from when they made it and then painted it black.

yeah its the paint and or plastic rubbing off in the inside of where the sticks are. It happens to all controllers its jsut more visible on black controllers. think of it as contorller dandruff except there no shampoo for it.

It's not a problem, it's just where the joystick has been rubbing the edge and being worn down a bit

its just where the joysticks rub the side, happens on all controllers, its just a lot more obvious on the black ones than it is on the white ones

I'm not answering this question because it's been answered, I just wanted to say, the controllers aren't all white and painted their perspective colors (black, red, blue, pink, etc). The plastic is that color. Some posters above were mentioning paint.

No, I haven't had any problems with it. But then again, I've only had my console since January. The last time I saw this kind of problem was with the Nintendo 64's controller.
