So I keep getting messages from random people I've met in online games that says "900 microsoft points".

WTH is up with that? Does anyone know what it is?:?

I really don't understand why anyone would believe such a rumour, why, just WHY would MS give out points for you messaging your friends?

I only get messages from friends so never got it. People will believe anything when it comes to getting something for free.

I hope people don't believe that.. Otherwise that would be pretty sad.

a person on my list sent this message to me too. I didn't get it at the time, either, but anyway it sounds pretty false.

The people who do that obviously are stupid - they should be have it say 1,000,000,000,000,000 MSP instead :P

I got one yesterday like that, except it said "Recon Armor" instead of "900 MS Points".....obviously the same scheme, it's really sad when i think of all the idiots that make up half of XBL, they may even have a high GS or be really good at a game, but that doesn't seem to help them realize the way things work.

There was a phase in Halo 3 were everyone was sending a pic of the Recon armour with a messaging saying you would unlock it if you sent it to 50 other friends.

Pretty annoying. I must have gotten at least 20 of those messages,
