Death of Chris Benoit and his family...

Some news I compiled together from Wrestlezone.com

As noted earlier, former WWE and WCW World champion Chris Benoit and his wife, former WCW and ECW personality Nancy "Woman" Benoit were both found dead today in Atlanta, Georgia. Benoit's son Daniel was also found dead.

Obviously this will be a huge developing story in the days to come but at this point, we'd like to express our deepest condolences to Benoit's family, friends, and fans at this time.

WWE just told its talent and released on its web site that Chris Benoit was found dead by Atlanta police.

All plans for Raw tonight have been scrapped and they will do a show on the life of Benoit.

To those emailing us with the note from Wikipedia.com claiming the Benoit-family death situation is a WWE television angle - we can confirm that rumor is completely false. There is nothing scripted about the very tragic circumstances that unfolded today.

More on this situation as news comes in.

I wonder how he died wiki article on him says that when he called home his wife said that they were coughing up blood i wonder if they died from a disease. Chris Benoit was the best wrestler of all time.:(

Me too, but this is beyond sad. However, Chris Benoit and his family plus eddieare now in heaven.

Alot of people are saying Chris Benoit killed them and then himself but currently they don't have enough to prove it.

Three words:

Double murder-suicide

And to the person that did that, I hope he went to hell, and then gets reincarnated into an insect, who cannot die but has to stay on the ground squished for all of eternity. Whoever did this is lucky that he's dead, or I'd go kill him myself

What a huge loss, he was looking for a fresh start in ECW and now...well.....but just like Guerrero's death..I was shocked but I did know one thing that he was going to heaven nd that is what is going to happen to Chris and his family!

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -- Pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room, a law enforcement official close to the investigation told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

Authorities also said they are investigating whether steroids may have been a factor in the deaths of Benoit, his wife and their 7-year-old son. Steroid abuse has been linked to depression, paranoia, and aggressive behavior or angry outbursts known as "roid rage."

like you hold someone down and smother them with something that can restrict their breathing. in this case, he used a bag over his son's head so he couldn't breathe. other ways are covering someones head with a pillow until they can't breathe

i am utterly shook with greif and shock...i have been watching chris benoit matches nonstop ever since ive heard of his death....when i checked wwe and found out about the death, i refused to believe it. i checked wrestlin sites nonstop and it turns out....its damn true...

chris benoit was one of the greatest wrestlers ive known and respected. ive always enjoyed watching him wrestle cuz hes for real. He was a true family man and he proved it by crushing paul heyman's finger...he was a great friend and proved it at wresltemania 20, that moment with eddie guerrero, i will never forget

he has fought so many brilliant matches, so brilliant that i even save them on my psp. ill never forget his rivalies and matches with other of wwe's greatest, such as angle and eddie...ill never forget that he would not tap out...not even to the brock lock...(he did tap out b4 but it took tremendous energy to make him do it)

The match against Bobby was good enough, at least they showed some respect and great match.

btw according to wwe, benoits son daniel was sufferin from a serious disease....u think benoit did this to put an end to his sons suffering? though at a grisky way...he prob loved his son 2 much that he couldnt handle knowing that his son would be suffering all day....
