Hello fellow writers,
As you post your writing for peer review, there are a few things to keep in mind and let us Justicars know so we can review your work more efficiently, and so that you get what YOU want out of this process.
For submissions that aren't for a specific competition or assignment, such as Chalk Talk, I would suggest posting your work in your own thread so that the string follows your submission and we aren't trying to go through various works.Â
It is usually also a good idea to preface the work by giving us some basic information about the piece, such as:
1. What is the purpose of this piece? (Short story, original concept you may wish to expand on later, intro to a novel, general non-assignment editorial, review...)
2. Who is your target audience? (Who are you hoping will read this most, who are you hoping to engage with the piece?)
3. What do you most want us to focus on in our critique? (Grammar, sentence structure, wording, descriptive phrases, overall layout of the piece, persuasive writing...)
If you have any questions about a submission, ask! A lot of us Justicars and other WRT members have other life obligations, so it may be a week or so before your work can be reviewed, but don't lose hope, we're here and we love your submissions. Keep them coming!
