Yes, it sounds farfetched. A ride based on such an intricate film. You're probably thinking, "This isn't going to go well." I beg to differ! Here's my idea for an Inception theme park ride, that I can picture at either Universal Studios Florida or Universal Studios Hollywood:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You wander through the queue, set up like the headquarters for Cobb and his team. As you walk by, you see the briefcase that was used to fuse all the dreamers into one single dream, and you see Cobb's totem lying on a table, indicating that the guests lined up in the queue are not yet dreaming.

Eventually, the guests, in groups of 12 (3 rows of 4) enter their vehicle, which will be used to transport all 12 guests into a dream to plant an idea (same as the movie) by going into a 3 layered dream. Cobb's voice will come through the vehicle, telling guests to attatch the cuffs to their wris, like they did in the movie with the suitcase. Once everyone is ready, the ride begins.

The ride is a simulator/dark ride, like the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Islands of Adventure in Florida, except not in 3-D.The ride would mix screens showing video with live sets.

The car spins as a white light flashes. The guests are in the first layer of the dream. Like in the movie, they are on a highway in the rain. Occassionally, some water would spray the guests (just a little!).  Suddenly, gunshots ae heard and subconscious projections shoot at the vehicle. It rattles as the bullets make impact with the car. The vehicles (the extractors and the guests) head toward a bridge to escape the projections, get Fischer (the man who is going to have an idea planted in his head), and prepare the vehicle for "the kick", a set of actions that will wake the guests. The vehicle speeds towards the railing of the bridge. It begins hurtling over, but another white light flashes.

The car is now inside of a corporate hotel. As the vehicle wanders through the hotel, we travel upstairs and come to a corridor. We are confronted by a projection, and Arthur (on screen) begins fighting him. Now keep in mind that in the firstlayer, the car is flipping and spinning. These motions affect the second layer as well, so the hallway begins rotating (using special effects). The vehicle seems to rotate with the hallway as Arthur fights off the projection. He defeats him and leads the guests to an elevator, where another part of the kick will happen. That same white light flashes, and the guests are transported to the final layer.

The car is now in a snowy mountain location. We enter the base located in the mounatins after we follow the remaining members on snowmobiles. We enter the base and look for Fischer. We find him deep in the base, and Cobb plants the idea. Now the kick is ready for action. The guests and the onscreen characters flee the base and use explosives to destory the base. White light. We're back in the elevator, which is falling dozens of stories. Just as it is about to hit the bottom, the light flashes. We are hurtling back off the bridge. Just as we make impact with the water, we see another white flash (this one is much brighter). Guests are sprayed as they turn a corner and find that the mission was a success, and they exit back at HQ.

Guests exit and can buy Inception merchandise at the gift shop, appropriately named "The Kick".

So, what'd you think of it? I would love to ride it :D
