I was thinking about going next year (I live in Vermont, its only 8 hours away) but then I found tickest are 400 to 500 bucks for one. I love StarGate, but not enought to spend $600.
Yeah it's likely ill never go either since it's in Canada (dont have anything against them but its a pretty long ways off), if it costs as much as shock says (even in cdn dollars) i will never go till i hit the lotto, and if i ever did go then i wouldnt really be able to make fun of the people who always go to trek and star wars conventions lol.
i don't think i could go if tickets cost that much. that's more than one pay check for me. but you can still make fun of those who go to star trek conventions as long as you don't dress up for it. that i have never understood, but then again i do get dressed up for the renissance festival.
I'd probably go to one of those things if it was here, as long as there was no dressing up and people who are such big fans they become weird and make me not like Stargate.
specially for doho - there was just yeasterday (29th)Â a 'puddle jumper convention' in melbourne dont know where you live but they had wier, ford, skaara and someone else from babylon 5, sheppard was going to turn up but he couldnt make it.
the uk viewers we also had somewhat of a convention but just one star tapping (carter) also yesterday somewhere in london it was more of a get to know carter event but i am sure US and canada fans are much more lucky with huge stargate/atlantis conventions
