Yeah, I agree. It's such a shame that SyFy used to be the network picking up good cancelled shows, and now it's the network doing the cancelling. Also, I think networks just don't have the patience to let shows establish themselves anymore. Voyager went on for how many seasons with middling ratings? And yet SGU is cancelled after only one season, maybe a little more patience and better advertising and the show would start to pick up.
When rush was making the speech about the crew to stay it almost could have been used to convince syfy to keep SGU on the air lol. It was decent but kinda felt like another cheat to get the ship back to working order and get more needed supplies.
We finally watched this and I enjoyed it more than I have most episodes of the series; I noticed that Peter Deluise directed it. I wonder if some of the banter being lighter can be attributed to him (the reference to McKay, Rush seeming almost playful with other-Rush). So are we all assuming that Rush orchestrated the whole failure and time travel to begin with? I wonder what Earth-Telford is wanting to use the stones so urgently for
