So it looks like only Eureka and reruns of SG are the only worth while things left. Oh i know, lets put more fake gay wrestling on!! Cause its sooooo SyFy!Kurushio
Like I said, it's NBC. I'm also starting to think that sci-fi shows just won't fly anymore, Most get cancelled within three to five seasons. SG-1 was the exception, and even then there was talk about cancellation near the end of just about every season. Firefly, TSCC, Atlantis, Gattica, BSG, Universe, these shows just can't stay on the air to save their lives. Face it, Americans are interested in one thing, crappy, cliched cop dramas. If you're a sci-fi fan, your best bet is probably to get used to Doctor Who being the only program guaranteed to be on the air year after year.
Ill forgive SyFy if they bring back FireFly or John Doe or Reaper lol. The only doctor who i liked was christopher eccleston and DT was ok but just didnt have the same intensity i felt. NBC i think is going to be showing "The Cape" soon with Summer Glau but i dont have high hopes since her track record isnt great even though her shows really should be and i hope The Cape is different.

I dont see how SGU will ever finish up its storyline since it seems it needed atleast 3 or 4 seasons to wrap things up. Maybe they can rewrite some of the story and hope for a movie but it will feel even more rushed than the Ori's storyline.
I bet if the fan base was strong enough SGU could get a CTV release to wrap things up.shockwave04
Id say Atlantis should get one first and that is no where at all. I also thought they were going to do another SG1 movie but until MGM sells SG probably nothing will happen. A bigger studio needs to just outright buy out MGM so thier properties will actually do something. I dont understand why they are not trying to make money it seems.
Why is it they cancel shows just as they're starting to get good? At least they haven't canned Eureka, Warehouse 13, or Sanctuary yet. I've about given up on science fiction series on TV. They never seem to last more than a couple seasons. It seems if it doesn't have cops or lawyers in it or isn't a sit-com or a reality show, it's doomed from the start. And I'm seriously about tired of all these dancing and singing shows.
I just read an article on Gateworld. MGM has its finances secure now and they've secured $500 million for TV shows and movies.x-wing20
Well, movies cost a lot more than TV shows and the first thing MGM is probably going to do is get Bond back on track. That being said, I can't think of too many other TV shows that MGM owns the rights to so if they're thinking about TV at all that could be a good sign, maybe they are shopping SGU around.
I certainly hope so! Even though SGU may not have been the most true to my tastes as the previous series, It's still bloody good STARGATE! If this can be swept under the rug, Then as far as I see it all of the Sci-Fi genre is apparently destined for trouble! But then again, what isn't when it comes to life these days?
Yes, Like many may feel, Just as it was starting to get really interesting, This happens, That is irritating!
I didn't really see anything in there to indicate that there was any reason to think that the show would live on aside from the people who work on it wanting to continue working on it, alas.Maybe not so dead after all...?

That's what I was thinking too. (I wouldn't be able to watch it though. lol.)

I was flipping past Showtime Extreme yesterday and happened to notice that they were airing a couple of Stargate SG-1 episodes. Even more interestingly, these were season 6 episodes, from after SG-1 had made the jump to the SciFi Channel :PPlease Log In to post.
